giddy with the pretty and the sugar rush
i started this list to be my top 10 favorite fics of all time (or at least right now) and found i didn't actually have 10. regardless, here are my absolute favs to date:
FAVORITE FICS OF ALL TIME-TIME-TIME (not in any particular order)**obligatory warning::some of these stories contain sex scenes-hetro and homo (who am i kidding, they all do)::end of obligatory warning**
1. Freedom's Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Loose by synecdochic (and there is a sequel!) a story of Rodney McKay, back on Earth after losing Atlantis and John. [Star Gate Atlantis]
2. Overheated by teand and it has a sequel I didn't know about, yay! Cordelia meets a Winchester. [crossover Angel:the series and Supernatural]
3. Down the Rabbit Hole by the lovely mistressace Clark, Bruce Wayne, bondage, surprises and, finally, Lex. [Smallville]
4. A Beautiful Lifetime Event by Shallot. Rodney and John unwillingly have a kid thanks to some Ancient machine tomfoolery. [Star Gate Atlantis]
5. In the City of Seven Walls by Auburn over 170,000 words of pure awesome. She doesn’t seem to do actually happy endings tho, so be warned. Rodney and John get kidnapped and sold into slavery. [Star Gate Atlantis]
6. Reconcilable Differences by Shallot note from author: “Kon, aka Superboy, who is the test-tube baby of Superman and Lex Luthor. (No, I am seriously not making this up. I would have, but the writers at DC generously smoke crack so we fans don't have to.)” [Smallville]
7. Isolated Elements by Tara Keezer a crossover of CSI and Buffy Summary: The Watchers' Council sends Giles to Las Vegas for a bit of occupational therapy. He's not happy about it. Not one little bit. [crossover Buffy the Vampire Slayer and CSI ]
PS: i arrived to work this morning to be confronted with fudge made by michelle and family(did i mention my new bloggy friend?). i was really hoping it was too sweet. i can't eat fudge that's too sweet. damn it, it's really good. take that, joint pain and the 16 (more or less) pounds i've lost in the last 2 months! i am now putting that weight back on, piece by not-to-sweet perfectly fudgy piece. damn it. ::shakes fist at edible holiday offerings:: =)
PPS: i shall possibly make them pay by making fudge haystacks and dipped pretzels. oh yes, i shall make them pay.
PPPS: can you tell the sugar has gone to my head? no? oh, yeah i guess i am that giddy most Tuesdays. whatever.

8. Broken Wings by synecdochic from the website The World is Not Enough. i think all the stories are roughly the same story line, but it examines the story line from different perspectives and such. awesomeness.
9. Dumbledores Army and the Year of Darkness by thanfiction A Harry Potter fic about what everyone at the school did while Harry, Hermione and Ron were out saving the world. i apparently found it via the Random Facts About Everyone In Potterverse Challege. and it has a sequel here and a final novel of the trilogy, WIP will begin posting in spring of '09. i'll post that link then.
10. And who can ever forget the epic Phantom of Hogwarts by the fabulous Good Witch A Harry Potter fic, How in the world does Hogwarts come to be doing a performance of The Phantom of the Opera? And just why is Snape so pissed about it?
