Long time, no post
Figured I would go ahead and post something since it had been so long and Melli wanted me to do so. So things in my life have been exciting lately. I have set a date with her to finally get married - August 23, 2008, the end of the summer I return from Florida. That should give us plenty of time to plan the perfect wedding and to organize everything. Now the difficulty lies in being patient enough to get to that date - I am not a patient person by nature. It's very exciting for me, because it's something I've wanted for my entire life - a wife, a house, a family, love, etc. I'm one step closer to my goal.
Other than that, not a whole lot has happened lately. Mel and I have been going through a lot of personal changes, she's seeing a new therapist, on a new mood stablizer (which for the first time really seems to work), she's going back to school, and getting a part-time job. I've been working on myself a lot too - I'm learning how to communicate better, regulate my anger, and organizing my weight loss (I've changed my eating a bit, though the donut I had this morning probably didn't help). I try to eat a salad with every meal now, and I'll be working on exercise when I get to Florida.
This morning has been rough. I woke up with a twinging pain in my back, which has grown into some serious kinda hurting. As it stands, if I were to pull a dagger out of my left lung, I wouldn't be surprised in the least, it hurts that bad. Mel brought me some vicodin to ease the pain, and it helps, but now I'm a little stoned. Not a bad thing really.
They smoked Mussaoui yesterday, and I laughed my ass off. Making a political point by randomly blowing up civilians and chopping off heads and hands and so on puts you in line to richly deserve a 500 lb. bomb shoved up your ass, and I'm glad we were able to deliver. It's not that I had any particular doubt, though - we're the best military in the world for a reason, and nobody escapes us indefinitely. I hope he has his own little chamber specially reserved for him in hell.
I really want to start getting back into politics and such, and will probably be doing more of it as time comes available. I'll have a lot of it while I'm in Florida, so that will be fun as well. Take care all, hope you have a fun day.
