Well, my goodness, it was a good day. I woke up in a good mood, and stayed that way, hehe. Actually, yesterday was a decent day, too, so I'm hoping it's a continuing trend. I went to NYAJoe's today for lunch with Klein and Charles, and enjoyed myself. 'Twas a good time. We made fun of the waiter, partly 'cause he looked/acted like a total stoner (duuuuude) and partly 'cause he was trying to flirt with me. ;-) Hehe.
Anyway, after lunch, I got to do beachy errands and stuff...and got paid for it! hahahaha. I just went to places like Home Depot and Target to pick up a few things and price stuff. And then I went to the beach and did a couple of housekeeping things. None of it was a big deal, but it means the season is fast approaching, which is wonderful. I love that place. I ran up to the top of one of the boardwalks and just took it all in for a minute. It had clouded over by then, so the place was pretty much empty. I'm good with that, though - that's when I love the beach the most. The ocean was this amazing slate grey color, and the sky was all sorts of different shades of grey. It was beautiful. And way out over the water it was raining, so it made this contrast. To the left and to the right, things looked sharper, clearer. But in the middle, it was fuzzy and almost out of focus - like a finger smudge on a charcoal picture... It was amazing. God, as much as I love having time to myself, there are moments I wish I could share things like that with someone... Anyway, I saw a family walking along in primary colors. Talk about a contrast. It was cool, though. The mom was in blue, the dad was in red, and their little one was in yellow. Would've made a good pic. :-)
So, that's it for now. The snack bar opens this weekend, so we'll see how things go. My schedule will only be getting crazier from here, but I think it will be worth it. As long as I've got my friends, I'm good.
