So my coworkers wife is fine. It turned out to be a false alarm. She is apparently recovering well from the complications. When she had the twins about 6 months ago she only had about 30% of her normal heart capacity... she's up to about 50% now. So I guess just it's another day in the life for them.
I'd like to thank spinthemoon and domesticharmony for their advice and prayers.
I just turned in my Linear Algebra test. Take home test are fun. All I'm gonna say is the Prof's gonna see alot of similar answers and a handful of students are gonna get similar grades. Lets hope they're good ones. :P
I have to wake up early tomorrow for a 7:15 flight to the companies HQ in Princeton NJ. Then it's 2.5 fun filled days of meetings about process. Wee... I love process. Because I now know that it is ALL about the process. Doesn't have to be a good process... just one that was established in a meeting... and followed loyally.. if there are problems with the process we can always set up a meeting to discuss the process... which is, of course, part of the larger process. Does this mean somewhere out there is the One Process to rule us all?
This is my first company trip and I feel kinda weird about doing this "adult" thing. I had visions of living my life not doing stuff like this. Oh well. Beats diggin' ditches I guess. 'sides I get to have St Patty's Day in Jersey... in real Jersey dive bar... with people who came over in the 60's-70's and have real Irish accents (I've heard a few H-town Irish folk performers step out of character so I'm a bit jaded). At least that's how it was sold to me... in an e-mail... from a coworker. *sigh*
When I get back, my best-but-no-LJ-posting-bud and I are gonna go see a former speed metal player (I think it was Testament) in his new gig - Jazz. He does a real neat version of Electric Eye from Judas Priest. I guess we can't live our dream of being a speed metal god forever huh? It's nice to know you can go find new dreams though. That and I have no doubt that I'll be too tired to bang my head anyway. *sigh*
I forget the dudes name so maybe we can get Fret Hack to post something. *hint* :)
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great St Patty's week. See you on the flip side after my assimilation/re-Edu-cation/Synergistic leveraging.
