Blackbirds - nesting pair plus current fledglings (x3)
Woodpigeons - too many by half:
Collared doves:
Rooks - nesting in the chinmey:
Starlings - cheeky and intelligent:
Chaffiinch - I've seen them but not regularly:
House Sparrow - the RSPB claims they are struggling but I see dozens of them!
Greenfinch - I'm very excited about these! A pair of them seen for the first time today!
Blue tits - nesting in a bird box at the bottom of the garden:
Coal tits:
I put out some niger seed, which is meant to attract goldfinches in particular as well as other finches, but so far there's been no sign of goldfinches and the other finches haven't touched it! Boo!
Also I know I'm a bad person by encouraging all these lovely birds into our garden only to let the cats out on them, but for the time being until the kittens are allowed out I'm really enjoying all the wildlife!
