[Lillian doesn't get around to fishing Lester's origami out of her tote bag until the next day. She'd slept in until eleven o' clock the next morning after being up so late exchanging letters with James through the mailboxes upstairs. Fortunately, it's Saturday and there isn't anywhere she needs to be today. Though no one's around to see it,

This is quite the coincidence. I would never have guessed that you were mementovivere, but perhaps that is because I was unaware that you were here. No, I probably would not have been able to tell regardless.
I, or maybe we, must be lucky if we've been running into each other both on campus and on the internet. This is definitely what I would call good luck.
I hope you are having a good day,
Lester Cotton

Only one other person knows I'm mementovivere. :) I don't use my real name online if I don't know the person in real life.
I agree we're lucky. This is, indeed, a fortunate turn of events.
I am, actually. :) I hope you are as well.

Come to think of it, you've had a similar experience as well. I'm glad to know that you are doing well. I'm not certain what kind of luck is at play if you are involved in the supernatural incidents, since the nature of those are still unclear...Yet I must admit that part of me is glad that you and I are in the same boat.
And at the moment I'm doing well. It is a fairly uneventful day and I intend to enjoy it.

I think it's good to be cautious on the internet. You never know who might stumble across your information.
I'm glad, too. All of it is very strange but it's strangely comforting to know someone from back home has also had an unusual incident.
That's good. I'm responding to the principal's e-mail right now. I didn't check my inbox until today so I missed it. Did you respond?

Unusual is certainly one way of putting it. Oh, that is probably why you recognized by description of the fairy. I was asking if you could paint my fairy yesterday.
Ah the principal's e-mail. I did, actually. I tried to explain to him what happened. I am unsure as to how he will react. It is rather all hard to believe.

[Lillian pauses for a moment, thinking back to last night's letter session with James. Wouldn't the same principle apply to that as well? James seemed very kind but how did she know he was who he said he was? She didn't even know his last name. Maybe she had taken a great risk telling him so much about herself. Honestly, James had learned more about her in one letter exchange than most of her classmates knew. Oh, well, what was done couldn't be undone. It'd be useless to worry herself sick about something she couldn't change even if she wanted to.]
Yes, I'd remembered it from your journal. It was different from any other description of a fairy I've ever read. Very distinct. :)
Oh, dear. I suggested it might be the work of vandals from another school but I don't know if he believed me.

I really couldn't find a better way to describe it than as a fairy. I have no idea, really, how else to label something that is so small, colorful and quite frankly, glittery.
The principal replied to me and I really do wonder what he meant when he called me a fairy. He seems to be under the impression that I am either lying to him or reporting a hallucination of sorts to him. I am not entirely certain how I should react to that.

A fairy sounds like it would be closest to what you described. It doesn't sound like a wight, a goblin, or anything like that. I would be happy to paint him sometime. It sounds cute. :)
Whatever he meant, it's very unprofessional of him to call you that. I understand how hard to believe these accounts are but there's no excuse for an educator getting that out of line with a student, even if he is a principal.
I mentioned that I knew that the window had been broken through unusual means and he asked me if I thought ninjas or pirates did. I wonder how he'd respond if I told him samurai did it.

I'm not entirely certain if I understand the principal. Granted people in general are hard to understand. Ninjas? Pirates? I suppose no matter what anyone says he will not believe the truth. I am curious to know what would happen if I showed him my fairy. Although I do not know if that is even possible. I have not attempted to see my fairy again since the incident.

He seems bitter about something. At what, I couldn't begin to wager a guess. If it's the students, perhaps he should strongly consider another line of work. I'm not certain I want to inflict Principal Ivors on Nephele, to tell the truth.
[Lillian stops typing when she remembers that Lester had included a link in his previous reply and clicks on it. Recognizing the theme from a game her sister had sent her for Christmas last year, she starts giggling.]
Good one, Lester. :)

Is that what he seems like? He most certainly does not seem friendly if anything at all. True. I do not know if he would believe his own eyes if he saw the fairies.
Oh, I'm glad you recognized it. I was uncertain whether or not it would make any sense.

To me, he does. At least, I like to think there's a reason behind why he's a jerk to everyone. It's possible he wouldn't. People do strange things in order to cope sometimes.
I did. :) Emily sent me a copy of that game for Christmas last year. I really enjoyed it.

That is unfortunate. Life should be enjoyed more.
That is how I came in contact with the game. I borrowed it from Carla, or rather, she told me to play it and so I did. What happened in actuality is I watched while she played. I could gather the evidence but when it came to the courts I admit I had no idea what to say.

It is. There's a lot of beauty in the world, as well as ugliness.
I was the opposite. :) I played it all the way through but knowing what to say in the courts came more easily to me than knowing where to look for things.

I enjoy the beauty of the world very much. The park is always a good place to start.
Is that so? Then perhaps we will make a good team if we attempted to play the game together.

((ooc: actually they might really make a good team. Put his observational skills and her ability to put things together, they might make a really really good team))

The park is a lovely place. :) There's a spot under a shade tree on the school lawn that I'm pretty attached to. :)
Perhaps we would! I would love to try. :)
