Camo Gathered skirt post 3 of 3

Here is my last crafty post for now. I still have a few things left down stairs that are unphotographed so... I might post those later.

This is a really simple gathered skirt. This skirt is reversible I chose a mesh camo print, a green knit, and a camo print ribbon for this one. All of these supplies were puchased from walmart. Overall cost about $10. That was for my materials but, yours could cost more or less depending on fabric and ribbon choice. I cut 2 panels about 26 inches long and as wide as the fabric is out of both fabrics. I then sewed the camo pieces together and finished the seams. I then did the same with the green. I sewed the 2 pieces together at the top with right sides together. I then turned them right sides out and top stitched them by the jointing seam I then stitched about 1 inch down from that stiching to form a casing for the ribbon. I slit a small hole in the casing by the side seam for the ribbon to go through. I threaded the ribbon through leaving extra for tying a bow. I figured out that length by slipping on the skirt and tieing the ribbon uncut to what I would need to keep the skirt on and have a bow. I left the hem unfinished to make it more flowy. The nice thing about this skirt is that it fits a wide range of people and you can always add panels depending on your size and desired fullness. I tend to wear mine with all the gathers in the back to make a bustle look. A camo bustle... that's just how wacky I am.

I took the pictures while I was by myslef so, they are the best I could get with low batteries and a streched out arm. You should get the idea.
