An old poem

I am Katelyn Redinger.

I am the local parks of Suburbia Hell and a few busy streets that eat playground balls.

I am a barefooted wanderer that enjoys public people watching, drives through the back country and cigarettes with coffee.

I am the union between a Cherokee Indian maiden and a German explorer, one who kissed the wind and one who traveled by it.

I am the third daughter to bebother Kimberly and Rocklin.

I am the wolf of good arguing, spontaneous preparation and hot headedness that is my mother.

I am the endless knowledge, blameless presence and weakness to substance that is my father.

I am one of three, below Beth and Ashley, Beth who inspires me with strength and Ashley who has filled me with hopeless ambition.

I am the seven seasons of grassy fields and black and white balls, the shouts and screams of a year spanned divorce, and the witness of sixteen souls leaving the planet.

I am the overnight breakthrough of individualism and art that gave me a new skin to wear.

I am an anvil with a broken sword, and a future daughter to be carried out from the Far East.

I am a two toned green house in a forest with a cherry oak door, a Great Room with Irish Wolfhounds, and a forge with smoke rising from the coals.

I am free spirited, magical, an optimist, the second song on a really good CD, and a voice for a thousand younger girls.

I am an addict of substance and desire, a procrastinator, a liar, and a fool with too many secrets.

I am the summer clouds that are solely white and the wind in the hair of those that hear my voice. I am the streets in the night and the day in the rain.

I am Touching Spirit Bear.

I am Katelyn.
