Zero Knowledge in Fabrics

Oct 19, 2014 23:57

For the past 2 years I only worked with felt to make plushies and handcraft. I'm no expert at it but I'm pretty good for as much as I know. Yesterday went shopping for few fabrics, the problem is I know nothing! And I mean nothing! Like I just saw the thing on the net, took the color then told them I want this. There were like many types of fabrics, like DUH! What was I thinking?! I only know felt, silk and cotton, I don't even know which is which and what will work on what. Seems like I'll learn a lot in this journey. I did catch a few things such as, georgette, dantel, stretch and haircloth, the rest will be on the way.

The last two days I paused everything and took a little break with movies on my watch list, I needed this - so relaxing.

[Movie Spoiler]

How to Train Your Dragon 02So I started with this, even though I saw how they made Hiccup 5 years older than he was in the first part I just went and watched it. First, I thought it'll be as good as the first one. Second, I saw the first part, so gotta watch the second! I was waiting for an exciting part like before but it just didn't happen. Was a plain story, nothing much to it and what's with death of a main character?! I mean C'mon! Did he find he mother after 20 years to lose his father after that?! Doesn't really make any sense to me! But beside that, the animation was good, song was amazing, the nature senses, I love those parts and the best thing it's about the past. I love movie where they show a stroy from time before, like Croods, it's madness.

The Pirate FairyIt's Disney, no complaint about it but compared to the last part (Secret of the Winds) it was less exciting.

PlanesAnother Disney movie, this one is a spin-off Cars which is my No.1 favorite, both parts. The second was way epic than the first one. The one thing I liked the most about it is how they made new characters to the story. The Indian-theme song was cool too.

Mr. Peabody & Shermen I fancy any 3D movies, this one was funny with the most unusual idea ever. A dog adopting a boy, like seriously! Where do they get these ideas from?! It's so creative. What amused me the most is the puns made by the dog, there were many physics and math related stuff which I enjoy the most. It's a time travelle story just like any other. The animation is so interesting, loved the big heads on small bodies. It was actually an old cartoon from the 70's I guess and them made a 3D version this year.

On a side note I feel very grateful for many things in life, one of them being using the net. There are number of cool stuff and livejournal is one if them. I know I didn't meet any of your guys in person but reading your posts, no matter what you write, is always inspiring for me. I find it really interesting to read about people's day, somewhere else from where I live, on the other side of the globe. People don't just tell they stories to anyone, even if you keep your journal private and share it with few people I think it's really great. For you to be open and say how your day was, what you think of, how you feel then except others thought. I just wonder why livejournal isn't popular like any other site. It's a great one after all.
