Azula waited in the gardens; soon she would meet this ‘snake-like’ mentor of Kabuto’s and judge his offer for herself. She took in no real beauty from her surroundings as she walked among them, thinking, if anything, she thought the beauty suited her, and not the other way around.
The plants, trees, flowers and animals were all those native to her home, and for the most part, native to the Fire Nation. Flowers kept to the theme of red and gold, trees had a well groomed and kept look about them. Even the pond seemed sculpted to fit. And everything seemed to mesh perfectly with the scarlet roof of the near by pagoda.
Here, she had no doubt about her own control and power.
