Oh, I am so looking forward to traveling at Christmas, let me tell you. I present to you "The Seven Dumbest Things Ever Done by Airport Security."

The person who alerted me to this blogged that he once got stopped in an Australian airport and harassed because he was carrying a light saber. It was a pretty cool-looking, full-on Star Wars geek light saber, that lit up and made cool noises, but still. He said that one of the security people actually said, "I've heard that light sabers can be very dangerous."
I know. It's a job, and I feel bad for the poor people who have to do it, because they are obviously getting a lot of pressure from their bosses, or they wouldn't do dumb stuff like this. And it's not a great job to begin with, either. But it's just really irritating sometimes.
