Things I want

Current list of things I want, most of which I do not really need:

- iPhone or Blackberry-type smart phone device (have not yet made up my mind which one will work better for my purposes)
- alternatively, iPod Touch, or 16 GB iPod nano in that beautiful bright blue, + docking station so I can play my music at work
- unlimited texting upgrade on my cell phone plan
- sexy black ankle boots that I saw yesterday at Macy's which were sold out in my size (but they are on Zappo's!)
- ultramarine blue suede purse with brown leather trim by Cole Haan, viewed yesterday at Nordstrom, marked down to $250 (a bargain - original price was about $450)
- Perfect black pumps and slingbacks, coincidentally also by Cole Haan, which I saw at Bloomingdale's tonight and which retail at $250
- fancy new Miele vacuum cleaner, because our current machine badly needs replacing, and I want to spend money on a really good machine that will last a long time
- upgraded digital camera
- custom-made pair of knee-high black leather boots, since none of the ones in the stores will zip over my calves
- turquoise Polartek fleece jacket that I saw tonight at L.L. Bean
- new winter coat

Okay, I need the coat and the vacuum cleaner. The rest is all extra.

I am not kidding about that purse. I'm not even a purse person, but this bag was so beautiful that I had to force myself to put it down and walk away. I couldn't find a picture of the exact bag, but it was this shape and this color blue:

I had no idea that I liked Cole Haan stuff so much, but apparently I do. The shoes I saw were absolutely perfect - classic, timeless, but not dowdy, with enough of a heel to be discreetly sexy, but not so much as to be inappropriate to wear to court (my standard, even though I don't ever go to court). Absolutely perfect. I might actually save up and invest in a pair, because I would wear those shoes for twenty years if I had them. Last year I had to throw away three pairs of classic Nine West pumps that I had literally worn out since buying them in 1995. I'm not joking about keeping the shoes. Classic shoes are keepers.

I covet.
