this theory works when you work on shit, and you know its shit but you are told your doing a great job. confusing huh?
pro's to this theory
you dont have to invest to much brain time into worrying if you did a good job or not because the outcome you know is ment to be shit. so if it looks like shit or isnt to creative, no worries. your just doing your job. collect your money and move on.
con's to this theory
your working on shit and you will want to do something of value at a different place because you think they arent working on shit. but sadly the grass is always greener and you will most likely work on shit. even the best places produce some form of shit. because they are mostly likely wrapped up in shit.
that is unless your french of zany japanese.
if you not working on something thats shitty or you have the ability to do none shitty work on a potential shitty ending project. this is where thigns get confusing, you want to seeze the moment and make the project not shitty.
very stressful to fight againt the forces of lame.
but through, meetings revisions, different directions, suggestions. can creative integrity exist? this is how almost everything works or ends up. i've seen ideas go from brillant and cool to lame many times. but shit is all about your perception, a good way to debunk ill thoughts towards certain things. but who are we kidding? we all know collectively some stuff is shit. it just pisses people off when someone says something is shit.
when someone says something is whack.
Pissing someone off when you acknowledge crap, even when they know its crap themselves i havent fully understood this way of thinking yet.

its the phantom battle unseem to blind eyes. because in the end its all cool looking shit to the eyes that its intended for. we all need money to work and thats the main reason we're fucking around sticking our dicks in broken bottle for some pleasure.

there is a way to play these fools that control the paper if you have to play their games. and why games? because their playing you when they pay you to do work for them.

but not every institution is like this, they just are part of a system where they have to play to look after themselves in our rapidly growing individualistic society. its up to use to shape the future we would like to see for ourselves as well as for the community of artists we feel like we are connected through.
