Not a real story: I had this tiny storylet in my head at work today wherein Bill, in his attempts to "fix" the aftereffects of that one mistake, uses his sister's DNA to "reboot" his system. And then he ends up as a girl. And he frankly doesn't give a damn (although to be fair, his alternative was something like
this), but everyone else around him seems to think he should.
Except I don't know what to do with this mental image, despite really wanting to write it. Maybe a ficlet involving the question of gender (or how much of a crap he doesn't give about gender in the first place) and prodigyshipping and Lanette going, "So what exactly does this say about our relationship now?" Edit: Or people trying to explain to Bill why he should probably care about what gender he actually is, only for him to respond that, no, it actually doesn't matter except in the case of what's obvious in terms of biology. (I'm not sure why, but now my mind is randomly thinking Bill would be non-binary? What are you doing to your characters, self. No, seriously. Where did you even get that?)
And then the other fic I had in my mind during work (because when you've got your script completely memorized, you can let your mind wander and whatnot) was a "fic" (more like a guide) titled "Sex According to Bill." Which is exactly what it says on the tin. I get the feeling this is one of those things I shouldn't post at SPPf (but probably would anyway... if I toned it down).
And then the other plot idea was, "I really want to have an LJ RP in which characters are dragged into a multiverse nexus to be contracted by Kyubey." And then this was followed by the words "dressing room," and I get the feeling that will only lead to terrible, terrible things. (Although I would like to do a real, serious game with an actual plot. Or just a scene in which Tony Stark is a magical girl. The arc reactor = Soul Gem? YOU'RE WELCOME.)
In other words, I think of strange and terrible things to do to characters during work. Which actually says a lot about work in general.
Also, slowly adding/removing fandoms from the intro post. Will post a full list of the ones I'm adding/dropping soon with full fangirl/yeah-nos later. One of them has some requested fics attached, and I do have to say I'll still write them, despite technically dropping from the fandom. So, yeah, don't worry.
Speaking of which, yes, I know I'm behind on those fics. *facebury* They'll be done eventually, I swear!
