Best Day
Spent a lot of this day doing productive things. Also? Awesome things on pokedressing. Apparently, it really does live up to its hype. (Then again, I kinda started thinking it was awesome since I befriended a few people through this. Fandom Wank: Uniting Fans For All The Wrong Reasons Since 2003, amirite?)
So. Quickie post because I've got a pose waiting in the wings. I have to say, though, it's really refreshing to roleplay a version of Bill that isn't my version of Bill. As in, I threw out the entire canon cocktail to build this character, and although he's totally a Cloud Cuckoolander, it's actually a nice change of pace to not have to write him flailing or full of utter fail. He's just the kind of character who would go, "Oh, are the gryphons quarreling over how to do the Lobster Quadrille again? How peculiar. *teasip*"
Speaking of roleplay and Victorian-age humor, I got this idea in my head while baking cookies tonight, and it won't go away. I think it spawned from wanting to join theskytides but realizing I kinda can't. (Baww.)
Pan-canon Pokémon roleplaying game set in a Victorian England-esque version of Kanto/Johto/whatever. As in, canon characters primarily (from any canon), but it's set in Victorian England Saffron/Goldenrod/whatever City. With steampunk. So, I guess actual steampunk Pokémon game, only actually with Pokémon instead of just La Blanca. (Not that I don't like La Blanca. Just that I'm impressed with how far away from the original idea it wandered. And yes, I'll eventually get to posing there as well. Honest!)
Partially, I just keep thinking of Misty in Victorian clothing and Ash as a newspaper boy. Also, Bill as a mechanic. Just... yes.
