A few things.
Serious business time, but I've been seeing this float around my flist lately. It's a really cool idea: basically, writers are pledging to write X words for every $Yaud. The proceeds are going to help the victims Queensland -- which, for those of you cats living under rocks these days, is an area roughly the size of France... submerged underwater. I don't mean to make light of this situation at all, really. It's a pretty bad scene, from the clips and photos I've been able to find. Entire towns under feet of water, cars getting swept up like nothing, and that's not even talking about the amount of devastation businesses and agriculture face.
Long story short, if you've got a spare bit of time and think you can sit down for at the very minimum a drabble (just 100 words, guys), it's definitely worth your time to do it. Alternatively, go check out the lengthy list of authors and submit a bid or two.
Once I get my schedule straightened out, I think I might put up a profile myself. At the moment, I have to admit I'm just about to start another new job, and I'm putting in grad apps left and right. Not to mention the amount of scholarship research and networking I'm doing, so short of it is, I'm hoping that I'll be settled down enough by the end of this month to jump in at the last minute. If not, I'm bidding.

Furthermore, for some reason, I keep getting this image in my head of Domino as Scanty and Nettle as Kneesocks. I have no idea why, but it's making me regret that Nettle is supposed to be older than Juniper.
