Valentines from Paradise
While I'm definitely harboring an unsatisfied craving for a margarita, things are otherwise quite relaxed.
I'm writing to you from the outdoor lounge at the Princess Kaiulani, in what could pretty much only be described as a perfect day - Sunny, high 70s with a nice, gentle ocean breeze. Thanks to my dandy sprint card, I'm getting some work done out here while the girls our out at practice, and then I've got dinner with the team and then some adventures planned for the evening.
Not a bad way to end a day really, including Lunch at Ono's and a jog around the Ala Wai area here next to Waikiki. There will be no Valentines this year, since I'm thousands of miles from home, but that's fine. I've never really gone all out for VD and I'm not planning to anytime soon. (Pun intended.)
The upshot of doing some work here, while killing some time, it will also allow me unfettered access to the island tomorrow; I haven't made up my mind what I'm going to do yet. Either tromp up Diamondhead or tool around on a moped. The team has practice (HA HA) so I'll be on my own, at least until the evening.
So, in some blatant comment whoring, if you want anything from the wonderful island of Oahu, let me know! I'm here until Friday, so I'll probably be able to track it down. I remember that some of you lurkers are pretty big fans of Hawai'i.
I remembered to bring my camera this time, so I might have some pictures for my next post. At any rate, have fun over there in the mainland. Aloha!
