Blueberry Update:
Blueberry liquor Part Two was yesterday - there are pictures, and I'll try to get them up tomorrow. Let me just say that the kitchen smelled seriously good yesterday evening, though.

Writing Update:
I am happy to report that the first draft of EGT's Alamanac fic is finished. (I rewrote the 300 sucky words - okay, I moved them to another file because I don't delete things and I wrote 2,000 words that don't suck.) The dwsanta fic is swimming along, if you ignore the fact that the beginning rocks and the ending is well plotted in my head, and I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what to do with the middle.

Also, I need a title for EGT's Almanac fic, which cannot keep the name EGT's Almanac fic forever. Never mind. I just thought of one. It will probably only make sense to Red Sox fans, but such is life.

Speaking of the Red Sox...
The following conversation took place two nights ago. It should be noted that my father-in-law is a born-and-bred New York Yankees fan, but he's learned to forgive me for being a member of Red Sox Nation. He's also got an extremely good sense of humor.

Me: Hi, Dad. I wanted to let you know we got Andrew's birthday present from Aunt D, and it nearly breaks my heart to have to tell you this, but....awful news. It's wrapped in New York Yankees wrapping paper.
Dad-in-law: Oh...how...wonderful.
Me: I can't even look at it.
Dad-in-law: You're going to save the paper, right?
Me: Well, I haven't let Andrew open it yet, but he really likes ripping things so there's always hope.
Dad-in-law: You need to get it framed.
Me: That's an excellent idea. As a matter of fact, I think we should frame it as is. Unopened. You never know what could be lurking in a box wrapped in Yankees paper. I'll take it to Michael's. They even lose things sometimes!
Dad-in-law: Oh, that wouldn't be good. Tell you what, you send it to me, I'll make a gorgeous frame for it, something that will really suit it.
Me: You know what would be better than a frame? A time capsule. Prolonged exposure to sunlight will just make those colors fade, so I think you should build a nice tight time capsule for it, and we'll store it in the back of a dark closet somewhere, never to be seen again.

This morning, I get an email asking me to photograph the package and present it with suitable musical accompaniment. The first thought to enter my head? Hmm, I think I still have the Imperial March on my computer somewhere....
