Happy Birthday, Cleo!
1. Horrible thing realized: today is Cleo's second birthday. I didn't remember this until near lunchtime - bad me, I know. Not like Cleo much noticed, but still.
2. A friend had a very good suggestion - for the past year, she's been taking a photograph a day of the same view from her house. Of course, her house happens to be in rural Wisconsin and the view is out the living room of a river and woods where she can see deer and cows and bears and otters and mongooses. Which is to say, it's way better than any view I in suburban Virginia have.
All the same, it's a good idea, and I might not get a picture every day, but this would be my view out the window when sitting at the computer. Plus, there's a cat, so I'm sort of combining the two points today:
Yes, there's a photo of the blueberry pie. It'll be up this weekend when I have time to type up the recipe.
