I'm so glad you're continuing this. Poor Doctor! I just feel so sorry for him, in your story, and just in general. He's stranded and newly human (well, part human) and has no way off this rock he's suddenly stuck to and he had no say in it! Ten just dumped him there with Rose and said, 'Oh, hey, look, Rose, shiny new me! Isn't he pretty? Yes, he is. Oh, hey, by the way, he's a bit damaged... couldyoubabysithimformefortherestofyourlife? Ktnxbai!'
And that he has to ask her if they can go that day... I think that broke my heart. :(
i LOVE your icon. srsly. i dunno where the 'i don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies' line is from, but we use it sometimes in my family, and i lol'd at the icon.
Hee! Thanks. The quote is from Gone with the Wind. I was making this for an icon contest, but decided not to use it, but I loved it too much to not use it myself because the look on Sam's face there is just perfectly priceless. (you make take if you want)

This needs to be an icon. Totally.
I'm glad I'm continuing this, too. I'm having so much fun with it, in ways that should probably be disturbing considering how angsty it is, but all the same. Although I'm sorry it broke your heart, that he wanted to go that day. I hope it's feeling better now.
I love the name "John Noble"--it's perfect. And heartbreaking--a combination of the two parts of the man, and a permanent reminder of where he came from and who they left behind.
In other words, it's brilliant, just like the story. The note of hope is so tenuous, and yet it lets us know that things won't always be so achingly painful or uncertain. I look forward to seeing how both Rose Tyler and John Noble follow that note, and find their way together.

Because he is part Donna, so why can't his name be part Noble.
