Is this NOT what I was telling people back in December? There's just too many options at the local supermarket. How on earth can anyone be expected to know what kind of peanut butter to buy?

(Okay, so the local supermarket in the article is only local if you live in Britain, and therefore, peanut butter is probably not so easy to come by, but otherwise I stand by my faulty analogy.)

In other news, in an attempt to refrain from either further messing with the story, watching Buffy for a kazillionth time, or loading Sims2 on the computer, I instead watched The Motorcycle Diaries, which was absolutely outstanding. (Plus, Rodrigo de la Serna is cute.) phillyexpat, if you don't have this one on your NetFlix list, you need to add it in.

Edit: Oh! I forgot to add in the conversation with Bill this evening. So he went to look at the two houses with the realtor, and reported back to me. One of them sounds really nice - something, had we both been in DC at the time, we might have actually seriously considered bidding on. It went on the market about a month ago; who knows if it'll still be there, but if it's not, that sort of answers the question, doesn't it? Anyway, Bill seemed to like it.

Now, the other place - the one that was listed first as being okay and then as a fixer-upper? Yeah, I really ought to listen to my overactive imagination, because sure enough - Bill reports that the carpet is in horrible shape, there are some serious stains on the ceiling, the kitchen is smaller than the one we had in Rockville (think skinny closet with an oven), and the bathroom? It's yellow. Like, Chernobyl-yellow.

*shudders*

The funny part? The price difference between the two is only about $40K. You'd think it would be more than that, really.
