I'm sitting here watching Michael Moore's Sicko, which is a serious (for Moore's work) look at US Health Care (dis)organizations.
All I have to say is FUCK THIS SHIT. I AM MOVING TO BRITAIN AND/OR CANADA.
I know everything Moore has ever done is to be taken with a grain of salt, but whatever, what I am seeing here is truth. I've experienced stories like this myself. I've seen this bullshit happen to people I love.
As soon as I graduate from grad school I am going to be looking for a job in Canada. There's lots of film companies there. I should be fine. Worse comes to worse, I'll teach 3D animation at an art school.
Damn it. I feel sick with disappointment and disgust at my own country.
