ZOMG CRABS! :D AGAIN!
I'm sitting here watching episodes of my favorite reality show ever, Deadliest Catch, and writing summaries for them so I can post the uploaded episodes on some sharing comms. (I'll share the links here when I have the ALL uploaded.) OMG I AM HAVING SO MUCH FUN. :D This show is so awesome.
Who would have ever thought crab fishing could make for such amazing, gripping drama? Seriously, here are just a few tiny excepts from the summaries of the first season and a half:
As an arctic storm rises, the boats meet rough seas, and one of the fleet's most reliable boats, the Big Valley, simply disappears. The fleet is thrown into chaos as the frantic search for the missing boat begins.
The ships are getting off to a disappointing start, but the Bering Sea is as unpredicatable as ever and for some, their fortunes will change for the better. Or the worse. Engine difficulties hit the Cornelia Marie again, and they are forced to turn back a second time. Despite good crabbing, tensions among the Maverick crew come to a boil.
Bad early weather, new crew members, and unfamiliar fishing regulations have the fleet on edge. Little do they know that the worst ice storm in a decade awaits to greet them just beyond the harbor's break wall.
A greenhorn on the Aleutian Ballad goes mad and threatens to jump overboard, and just when things are getting back to normal, the small boat is slammed by a rogue wave, leaving her crippled and powerless against the building storm.
Hahaha my summaries are so melodramatic, but this show BRINGS THE CRAZY DRAMA, PEOPLE. CRABS = DRAMA. It's a fact.
