365 - Day 33
Yay for loud bright explosions in the sky.
Spent the majority of the day loafing around, watching cable and uncertain what to do with the evening. Not wanting to go to the one place in town overcrowded while sick decided to say no to Gasworks. Ben stopped by around dusk and we took the brief stroll to Ballard bridge to watch it from there. It was pretty low key but I couldn't do much anyway and not having to spend all day under the hot sun, spending too much money I didn't have on overpriced beer in a huge crowd... well, it all turned out fine by me.
The fourth is so funny to me, if one were to never leave the house and just listen to the sounds you could easily assume we were under attack. Something about setting off bright explosions gets people excited. I, am one, to enjoy it, I won't deny it. It isn't all about "America, fuck yeah" to me though, I just enjoy looking at the pretty, I guess.
