Well today is a new day and I'm sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather that Southern Florida has been receiving the past few days (gotta love wireless!) Well, if some of you don't know...I got a new job in Miami. I now officially work for a hotel in Miami (will remain nameless due to people being fired over blogs.) I start tomorrow and I am extremely excited.
Even though the pay sucks, it's still a job and I'll reap the benefits after 90 days.
I've also decided to go back to school, I got accepted into the "Hospitality and Tourism Management" program at FAU to obtain a 2nd Bachelor's...but now that I'll be working in Miami, I'm going to apply to FIU to their program. I'm also going to major/minor in Chinese and something else. I'll finish the Hospitality and Tourism Management BA in about 2 years and then can get my Masters in that as well. Hopefully the company I works for does a tuition reimbursment program, if not I'll be applying to scholarships and financial aid packages left and right. First, I have to find out what my schedule is.
I started working out (again) using the gym in my community and things are going well. My social life is starting to pick up again and now that I'll be working in Miami, I'll be meeting lots of new people. Woohoo!
Let's see...I was planning on traveling to Seattle in December for a friends Wedding, but unless I am not working that weekend, I don't see myself going :(.
Other news: My brother and I went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL on October 21st, 2006 and had an amazing time. He ran into like 6 people that he knew and I unfortunately only saw Kim's ex-boyfriend (the one that we went to HHN with last year...) He's such a dork. He probably spent the entire night looking for a Dance Dance Revolution, like he did last year. HAHA
I was a bit disappointed with HHN this year because to me it didn't seem that they put all that much effort into the characters or the scare zones. The only locations you'd see characters were in the scare zones and they kind of sucked...unlike last year where they were everywhere. However, the Haunted Houses were awesome, especially "Psychopath", which is based on the movie "Psycho" and Bates Motel.
We also hit up Jaws, which according to Jordan is the scariest ride in all of Universal. HAHA I mean, it was hilarious. The "guide" on the boat had no enthusiasm and would say "oh no, look a shark, let me shoot it..." and then he'd shoot this toy gun and a moment later, the water works would go off and the guide then said "oh no, I missed." We were like..dude. So of course Jordan was screaming at the tops of his lungs..."look a shark" HAHA it was hilarious.
Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Adventure was awesome. "There be motherfucking snakes on the motherfucking plane!" Which is all I have to say about that!
Then we saw "Shred 4-D", finally! It was alright. We also did the Mummy....I'm not a fan of that one. We didn't do any of the rides in Islands of Adventure because all of HHN was in Universal Studios unlike last year, where it was in IoA.
Ok...so that's all that's new with me. BTW, my car is dirty! Those damn bugs that I killed on the turnpike....you'd think they'd know not to get in front of my car as I am driving down the turnpike!
