psychic tv's cd release party tomorrow night. i am excited but broke and still am having a hard time getting tomorrow night covered, which will leave me with even less money next week. but screw it. school projects are good. can't get cookies to work... and i've moved on to "educational" website interactivity. video is my favorite right now. i managed to scrape together enough for a dv cable and firewire port so hopefully i can edit my second film project. the first one i did i based loosely off my friend Erin's idea for the Familiars, which she never scripted but was basically about a day in the life of two cat familiars "bitching about their witches." I did my own interpretation called the FamiliarZ, and threw in a Witchfinder General for good measure. he lost his hat and the cats pretend to be the witches and eventually get tired of teasing him and turn him into stone. poor special effects all around but i did spend hours on lighting and stage set up. it made the second round cut in showing to additional classes. an A but not in my world. maybe i will revisit it again someday. This next project is an adaptation of an idea my brother and i came up with 13 some odd years ago called Viva la Paris, loosely based on la Boheme. just a bunch of french artists living communally, stuffing their faces with croissants and occasionally going off the deep end. in french with subtitles... Mel gibson will star as himself.
