I'm a junior in college, majoring in 3D animation.
How many hours a week do you spend RPing, on average?
Hmm.. somewhere between seven and fourteen, lately, depending on how busy I or the people I'm playing with are.
On a scale from 1 to least important to 5 for moderately important and 10 for most important, how would you rate the importance of RP among your hobbies?
Ah.. 8, maybe 7? I do other things, but rp is definitely one of my favorites.
Do you RP at work at all?
Almost never, actually. I do all my work in a very open lab, and between focus on what I'm doing and concern for getting pestered for messing around on livejournal, of all places -- it's not worth the risk.
Would you say it's affected your job performance?
Once, one of my professors actually hugged me for knowing what country Timbuktu was in.. and I'd learned it from an rp thread /o\ Honestly, stress related to out-of-game interaction with other players affects my work more often than in-game issues. For the latter, it's just pretending -- much easier to put aside when it's time for work -- but in the case of the former, it's real people, and that's much more distracting, for me.
