its been a while.. well a couple of months..
things are great with Melanie, never thought I would meet someone like her, well at least I didnt think it would happen any time soon... not only do we understand each other, like to do the same things, and have very simmilar views, she is the first women that i have met that has actually got me motivated to better myself....
we've been biking, hiking, running (yes i bought running shoes)... so fitness here i come! (well at least better fitness then i have been able to achieve on the bike)...
recently i bought a polar heart rate monitor... sooooo cool, and so effective.... take a read:
http://www.polar.fi/polar/channels/eng/segments/Cycling/S720i.htmlnow when i ride, run or swim i am able to do it, and know weather i was pushing the limit, coasting, or in just the right zone... plus being a hardcore computer geek, it has an IR port, and i can 'beam' all the training info to my computer, graph it out and record my workouts to see if i am making any process...
the *inx has been coming along... got the ram for my sparc, and am in the process of configuring the mail server, and shell / dns / dhcp server... so if any of you would like a domain hosted for free, and or email @ azonicnet.com let me know and ill get it done... web hosting should be up in the next couple of months.... work towards the certification is coming along, learning tons, and have even stumped people i had not expected too...
GREAT news came intoday, and I am going back to school next week sometime... going to be taking my CCNP @ RRC 2 days a week for 4 hours a day... all for the low cost of $1694.60 (for all 4 semesters)... plus 4 books, ~$125/book.. not bad.. considering taking it in the evening as part of the continuing ed program would cost me $1547/semester, for a total of $6188... i save a total of $4494 for taking it during the day... no biggy, istead of working, then going to class i go to class then to work, so if anything i am tierd for work, rather then class....
why is it so much cheaper during the day? well at night, its just cisco and thats it... during the day it is part of their Advanced Network Technology course, but I dont want the MS certs, or the other stuff they offer, I either already have knowledge / work exp in it, or just dont care about it..

that makes me sooo pumped... as i didnt think i was going to be able to take the CCNP cause of the cost, and I wanted to go back to University next Sept 04... now I go back to university in Jan 05, and I will have completed my CCNA, CCNP, SCSA, which should open up some doors... take me a little longer to get the degree, but I get the technical certifications that will open some good doors job wise to either do the degree here, or elsewhere.. :)
anyways back to work!
