A/N: Sorry for the late update, I just didn't feel like typing anything, hehe~ Also, finals are coming up, and school's out in three more days, so I have more time to update, yay! Anyways, if anything sounds weird, I apologize, I feel really out of it at the moment. ;; I'll try to update more often.
 Chapters: (1)

Did he just call me cute...? I watched Jonghyun set himself onto the grass, his back leaning on the bark of a looming willow. It was as though this scene right in front of me was like something from a painting. It was as though he was a character from some sort of fairytale that just happened to be right infront of me. I'm not exactly quite sure, but I felt different when he said those words. In a way, more curious about Jonghyun perhaps? I stood there, probably looking dumbfounded, and I heard Jonghyun laughing softly.

"What're you waiting for? Come here, and let's get started." He said, gesturing towards a spot next to him. Snapping out of my trance, I felt myself slowly flushing in embarassment, and making my way towards the shady spot next to Jonghyun. Once I set myself down, he handed me a textbook, and leaned towards me. I tensed. What else was I suppose to do? I couldn't help but to simply overthink the phrase you're so cute...in my head continously as I spent each second with him. His chin was barely hovering over my shoulder, practically whispering words that I couldn't focus on at the moment because of how close he was to me. I only knew him for how long? Yet he takes a full swing, and successfully captures me somehow. He flipped open the textbook that was resting on my lap to the page we were suppose to work on, and he instructed me to point out some things that I didn't get in the lesson. I remained silent however. Because I like to overthink things, I couldn't help but to think where his hand was. Sure, his hand was the textbook, no big deal, but if that textbook wasn't there, then it would be resting on my thigh. Imagining this just suddenly made me dizzy, and I couldn't focus anymore. "Kibum, helloooo~?" Jonghyun waved a frantic hand in front of me until I brought myself back into reality. I blankly stared at him, not knowing how to feel anymore and he just grinned as usual. "Jeez, no wonder you're flunking. You really have to focus silly," he paused to look at his watch that was wrapped around his left wrist, "Ahh, the bell is about to ring. We'll stop for now, but don't forget to do your homework okay?"

"Uh, yeah sure." I kept my head down, staring at the now closed textbook. Soon after, the bell rang and Jonghyun stood up, brushing himself off. I felt him staring at me for a few seconds, until I felt his hand entwine with mine, and then my arm was yanked along with my body, and we were both running off towards the building. "Let's get moving, or we'll be late for class!" I couldn't help but to cherish his touch, and how he felt. Maybe...just maybe...I like him?

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Finally, school's over. I didn't think I would make it without at least passing out, or possibly my brain imploding. From Jonghyun and class, but whatever. Fortunately for me, Jonghyun was out the door last, so I was walking out of the building alone. The doors were pushed open by other students, and I caught the door, entering the afternoon world. As I approached the gate, I saw a familiar face standing there, and I smiled warmly at him. "Yo." I gave him a quick wave before he ran up to me.

"Hey! I didn't get to see you during lunch, what the hell happened?" Jinki said as we were now walking back to our apartment.

"Oh that, eh..." I suddenly felt myself dizzy once more. He just had to bring up Jonghyun again. And what's more is that everything that happened during that short study session was replaying in my head. I felt myself being overwhelmed with unexplainable feelings.

"At least tell me who kidnapped you, I thought you were going to get mugged or something!"

"That was Jonghyun, the new student I was talking about. Our new teacher assigned him to be my tutor, so he was giving me some lessons during lunch. You worry too much, sheesh!" I teasingly smacked him on the head, causing him to chuckle and rub where I hit him.

"Well, you know it's my thing to worry. - Oh! I just remembered I have to go to work."

"Work? I didn't know you had a job."

"You didn't? You didn't even notice that I'm not at home after school? Ehhh, you're so mean!~ You don't care about me~" Jinki pouted, puppy eyes glistening. Did I mention that he's my hyung?

"I'm just kidding! So sensitive. What's this job anyway?"

"I work at a supermarket. It's not too far away from our apartment, and it pays pretty well. After all, I have to pay you back for allowing me to stay at your place."

"Aww, that's nice of you. Hm, can I come with you? I'm interested to see what this supermarket is. Maybe I'll apply, I need a job too." I watched Jinki's smile growing bigger, which I thought wasn't even possible at the moment, and he grasped for my hand. With power that I didn't even know exist in him, he started to run, dragging me along. "That's great! Then we should get there a lot quicker if we run!~" He shouted in the midst of running. I think this is the third time I've been dragged today. My arm is going to detach soon...
What seemed like three minutes to me, Jinki stopped abruptly, and I bumped into him. He stumbled a bit before turning around to catch me as I was about to fall of exhaustion. I opened my eyes after panting heavily, to see only clothing. My head was buried into Jinki's chest, my back slightly bent since I was on the verge of falling. Jinki's arms were snaked around my waist to keep me up, and our bodies were close. Talk about awkward. Jinki looked down on me, and grinned. "Tired?" He asked as I straightened myself.

"You think? I've been running around all day." I straightened out my uniform, and I slightly blushed as Jinki watched me with interest.

"Come on, I'll show you around." He took my hand once again, but this time he didn't run. Thank God. The doors opened automatically, and air-conditioned winds engulfed my body as we stepped in. The store itself was actually pretty big, very colorful with each row stocked with basic necessities, and things I haven't even seen before. There weren't that many checkout lines; in fact, there weren't that many people in the store. Currently, as far as I could see, there were only five people stalking the shelves of various things. Jinki lead me to the backroom where he was to put all his school stuff, and get changed into his uniform. He released my hand, brushing away slowly as though he was hesistating to let go. When he managed to turn the doorknob and open the door, something attacked him.

"HYUUUUUNNNG!!!~" It said, whatever it was, it was clinging to Jinki like a dog. It was very amusing, so I just bursted out laughing as I watched Jinki desperately trying to pry the attacker off of him.

"Taemin, let go! I have to get changed!" Jinki practically threw the petite boy off of him, Taemin stumbling back into the backroom. I followed behind Jinki as he entered the room, closing the door so that none of the customers could hear Taemin complaining.

"Wahh, you're so mean hyuuung!~ I had to take over your shift, and this is how I get paid?!" The little boy pouted, crossing his arms as he attempted to death glare Jinki, but it looked more like a puppy begging. Taemin's eyes wandered until they caught mine. "Oh, who's this Jinki-hyung? A friend?" His eyes glimmered with curiousty, which somewhat creeped me out.

"Yep, this is my best friend, Kibum." He slapped me on the back, and pushed me forward closer to Taemin.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you! I'm Lee Taemin, I'm currently in middle school, so that makes me your dongsaeng!" I watched Taemin clapping quietly to himself. What a strange little boy. Before I could introduce myself properly, Taemin turned his attention back to Jinki. "Okay hyung, you have lots to do. Take those boxes over there and restock the shelves, then you have to mop the store." The younger male pointed towards a large box that was neatly placed in the corner of the room. Jinki craned his neck so that he could see the box better, since he was currently changing into his store uniform, and gaped at its size.

"Y-you expect me to do that?! AND mop the store?! Are you even going to help?!?!" Jinki desperately cried, putting on his uniform and walked right up to Taemin, staring him in the face.

"Well, I was also going to add 'manage the cashier', but considering how large that box is, I'll just take over for you. Besides, you have Kibum here to help you."

"But I don't even work here."

"Please Kibum, I don't think I can manage on my own~" Jinki turned around to face me, and gave his puppy eyes. Of course I gave in, seeing how weak I was, and agreed to help. Taemin quickly thanked me, and dashed towards the front of the store, attending to the customers that were ready to check out. I watched Jinki drag the box to the center of the room, opening it to see what was stacked inside the container. Jinki stared at it for a while, until he grabbed a clipboard and pencil from a desk nearby, and recorded what was in the box. After scribbling something on the clipboard, he handed it to me. I gave him a questioning look. "Just hold it, I need to keep track of what needs to be stocked, and what has been stocked." I nodded, taking the clipboard, and Jinki placed the box onto a cart so he could transport the box easier. "Okay, let's get going!" He announced cheerfully, and pushed the cart out of the backroom into the store. We passed many rows, going in here and there. Jinki instructed me to write some things down as he placed items into the appropiate shelves, organizing some other products that were mistakingly placed there. After about 15 minutes of the same routine, Jinki finally asked, "So, what do you think? Want to work here?" I looked up from the clipboard, and considered.

"Well, so far, this doesn't seem so hard, and because I'm trusting you about the pay, I think I will apply. Also, Taemin seems like a great person to work with, so I don't see why not." Jinki smiled, and nodded.

"That's good to hear, that way we get to spend some more time together! I mean, we don't have classes together, so..." I nodded as well, and glanced at a clock that was nearby.

"Oh, Jinki. Is it okay if I leave for today? I have to get started on homework."

"Go ahead. I'll see you later okay?" Jinki stepped towards me, wrapping his arms around me, which caught me by surprise. I didn't know that Jinki was a touchy sort of person. I hugged back, not knowing what else to do, and grinned as he released me. I quickly grabbed my schoolbag from the backroom, and ran out of the store, waving to Taemin who was helping an old woman place her items into a bag.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Lampposts were starting to flicker on as the night approached. I was only a few feet from my apartment, so I slowed my pace. As I looked up from looking at my feet, I noticed a dark figure leaning on a lamppost that was outside my apartment. It was staring at me, as though it was waiting for me. This suddenly frightened me; what if this was someone who wanted to kill? Someone who wanted to take something from me? I didn't know, but it sure did scare me. I froze, not knowing what to do. Should I turn around and run for it? Or should I just quickly run into my apartment? The figure must've noticed my hesistation, and I heard a laugh. It was familiar. Possibly way too famaliar. It took a step foward, and the light basked the figure, now its features becoming visibly clear. It was Jonghyun. Why the heck was Jonghyun outside my place? I wanted to know. I jogged towards him, noticing that Jonghyun had changed into more comfortable clothing. He was wearing a black t-shirt with some American printing on it, and some ragged jeans accompanying it with a studded belt. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he looked like some bad boy. "Hey." He casually said as he leaned against the lamppost once again, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"What're you doing here?" I asked, stepping towards my door to unlock it.

"I'm here to help you with your homework obviously. I figured you wouldn't be able to do it without my help, so I just came to your place." He grinned under the yellow light, which made him look more...mysterious. I allowed him inside, and he silently thanked me as he brushed past me, and entered further into my apartment. He stood in the middle of the hallway, scanning every single detail of my apartment. I took off my shoes, and placed my schoolbag to the side. "Nice place." Jonghyun commented, still turning in a circle to look around.

"Thanks. We'll do our homework in my room, but I need to get changed first. Stay here."  I walked past him, and I felt his gaze following me as I entered my bedroom. When I managed to close the door, I went to turn on my lamp that was resting ontop of my bedside table. The room was barely lit, but it wasn't even that dark outside, so it didn't really matter. Quickly stripping myself of my uniform and hanging it, I threw on a white t-shirt, and some jeans that were a shade of faded blue. I looked myself into the mirror and fixed strands of hair that were out of place. After confirming that I looked decent enough, I opened my door. "Okay, let's get to work." Jonghyun was resting ontop of the couch in the living room, and immediately turned his attention towards me as I went to grab my schoolbag. He did the same, grabbing his bag that he brought with him, and followed behind me as we both entered the bedroom. The door closed behind us, and I felt Jonghyun staring at me again. What? Do I look poor? is what I wanted to say, but I shrugged it off as I sat on the floor, back resting against the bed. He accompanied me on the floor, his legs stretched out, and he fumbled through his bag. We both pulled out our textbook, and I got out a notebook and a pencil.

After giving me a quick lesson on the chapter, he remained silent as he watched me do my homework. It seemed as though he wanted to say something, but he couldn't, or possibly trying to find the right words, but I couldn't tell since my eyes were glued to the piece of paper. I thought about earlier, when he called me cute. Was it just my ears? Possibly. I could ask him, but what would he say? I tightened my grip on the pencil, which made Jonghyun give me a questioning look. "Jonghyun...I have a question. But y-you have to promise not to laugh or anything." I murmured, staring at my handwriting. He nodded, leaning in closer to listen. "Earlier today...did you call me..." I trailed off, having second thoughts if I really want to ask him or not. I noticed something about Jonghyun changing; was he smirking?

"Cute? Yes I did say that." Well, at least I didn't have to finish my sentence, but now I felt even more awkward. He really did say it.

"Er...why?"

"Is it so bad to state the truth?" He said, following after with a slight chuckle. There was a moment of silence, until he spoke again. "When I first arrived to class, there weren't many interesting students to look at. Even the girls, though I don't blame them for admiring how perfect I am." I laughed silently; Jonghyun's personality was different than I thought. "But when I got a good view of the students, I saw you. You were staring at me with such curiousty, and I guess you can say only one word was running through my head was: cute. I think I gave it away when you mentioned how I was staring at you ever since I got here, so why not tell the truth if you already notice? Besides, I was considering asking you out."

"EH?!" I looked at him, wide-eyed. Did I just hear right? Ask me out? But I just met him today! Maybe the heat was getting to me, the air-conditioning must've broken down or something. Or possibly it was because my face was burning of pure embarassment, which then slowly flowed throughout my entire body. I felt numb for some odd reason.

"What? Like I said, if you already knew that I like you, why not just give it a shot? So what do you say, want to go out?" Jonghyun smirked as I finally built enough courage to look at him again, only to be frozen when met in contact. A shudder crawled in my spine as he let out a soft laugh; probably because he was looking at my shocked expression.

"G-give me one good reason as to why I should say yes." I quickly looked down again, onto my paper, where I didn't have to see him. That changed when I felt a grasp on my chin, forcefully being yanked towards the person sitting next to me. Jonghyun smiled as he leaned closer, grip still the same.

"My pleasure." His eyes shut, and I felt something soft on my lips. My eyes were open, staring at the person who was now kissing me. I didn't push him away. I didn't struggle. It was weird how I didn't reject him when I really didn't think he would take it this far. It was possible that I wanted it, or maybe I didn't care that it was just Jonghyun. Soon after, I felt myself kissing back, but it was a very slow process. I felt myself gasp slightly as I felt a tongue prod against my lips, Jonghyun sucking at it. I wanted to protest, but when I slightly opened my lips, Jonghyun took it to his advantage and slipped his tongue right through. I moaned, unintentionally, and I felt him smirking into my face. As I felt the foreign appendage exploring my mouth, I felt his body leaning against me, the weight slowly bringing me down onto the floor. He didn't allow me to hit too hard though; it was as though he was being gentle - cautious. When I hit the floor, Jonghyun detached himself from me, both of us staring into our eyes. I currently had no thoughts, the heat of Jonghyun's prescence and my own body heat was getting to me, clouding my mind of thinking of anything besides him.

"How's that?" He asked in an innocent tone, as though he didn't do anything that just caused me to be incoherent at the moment. I wanted to say something, but no words were coming out. My vocal cords refused to respond, so I simply nodded, my face probably a shade of hot pink. Jonghyun brightened up, and leaned in again for a second round.

The door harshly opened, which scared the living crap out of me, and a voice boomed, "Hey, why is it so dark in here?" Jinki paused at the doorway, hand still on the doorknob, and looked down onto the both of us. I don't think it was awkward, so at least I know that Jinki won't have any misinterpretions of the situation. Jonghyun was currently bent over slightly, to the point where his head was hovering over me, but not his body. However, I was still lying on the ground, legs and arms sprawled out in no particular place. "Um, did I interrupt something?"

"Nope, we're actually finished. I'll just...go. See you at class Kibum." Jonghyun said in monotone voice that actually frightened me a little. Did something upset him? Was he mad at me? Probably not, when I felt his hand brush against my leg as he got up to leave. Jonghyun grabbed his bag, and brushed past Jinki in a rough manner that cause the older male to stumble and hit the wall. The front door slammed, now leaving Jinki and I at peace. I stared at the ceiling, replaying everything that happened before Jinki came. The distance between us, the feeling of his lips against mine, the feeling of tongue, the feeling of--

"What're you doing on the floor?" The ceiling was blocked by Jinki's head as he stood over me, a hand reaching for mine as he pulled me up to a sitting position. I didn't respond to his question, because my head was spinning. "That was Jonghyun right? He seems to be a hot-head." I nodded, no words still coming out of my mouth even I wanted it to. "By the way...why were you on the floor? It looked like Jonghyun was like going to molest you or something."

"What?! YOU'RE SO WEIRD!" I finally managed to say, Jinki laughing hysterically as I tried to swat him with my notebook. "J-jeez! He just pushed me over because I accidently teased him!" I lied, throwing my notebook aside as Jinki got up and patted my head.

"Okay, sure. Make me some dinner Kibummie, I'm really hungry after having to run around the store." His voice faded away as he exit my room, walking towards the living room to watch some T.V. I stood up myself, sighing. So many things were happening today, and I really didn't know what to do. I absentmindedly walked towards the kitchen, and turned on the stove. Only one thought was in my head at the moment as I prepared dinner for the both of us, setting them on the table.

Guess that means we're going out...
