A/N: Alright, chapter 2! I love these kinds of things, when people get locked somewhere…alone…>3 Let’s see what this idea created, bwahahahahah!~ Enjoy!
Midnight. A perfect hour to tell ghost stories. It was completely silent in the streets; no lights dare to flicker on. Only howls of wind could be heard, and tree branches creaking slightly. In an apartment complex, all the lights were off, except for one: SHINee’s room. A candle rested on a bedside table, the flames barely lighting the room. There were five figures in each bed, blankets wrapped around them. They were speaking softly, whispers being exchanged to one another. If you noticed, a flashlight was being passed around, and this time, it was passed to Jonghyun. He switched on the flashlight, lighting up his face. The shadows on his face made him look like a zombie.
“A ghost story, huh? Hmm…I think I heard one.” Jonghyun whispered, shadows on his face dancing around.
“Hehe, let’s hope it’s not as scary as Jinki told, I think Minho is still in shock!” Kibum said, laughing quietly in the dark.
“Yah, what makes you think I’m scared?” Minho argued, folding his arms.
“Alright, alright, let Jonghyun tell his story!” Jinki said, jumping up and down in excitement.
“Okay, I think it went like this: During the 1990s, SM Entertainment was still fairly new, however the building was built over a really old building that was rumored to be haunted. So, there were two trainees: a guy, and a girl. Overtime, they started liking each other, a finally the guy confessed to her! After that, weird things started to happen. Like, both of them would heard weird noises like faint screaming, or scratching noises, but nobody around them heard it,” Jonghyun paused for a minute, attempting to create some suspense. Kibum, Jinki, and Minho were staring at Jonghyun, anticipating for more, but Taemin was hiding under his blankets.
Somehow…Taemin thought, I know what’s going to happen, and he hugged the blanket to his chest.
“Unfortunately, the two of them disregard all of this, and continue dating. One day, they were walking past a janitor closet, and suddenly the girl was pushed against the door, and twisted her ankle when she fell into the closet. Just as the guy was about to help her up, something appeared behind him, and he was pushed into the closet as well,” Gasps echoed in the room, Taemin’s the loudest, but no one noticed in the pitch dark. “The guy’s face was scratched on a rake, and his skin was ripped off. The two of them were still alive, so they were able to look at who pushed them in…it…was…a…ghost! The ghost was rumored to be an old grandma that committed suicide, because her husband cheated on her. That closet just so happens to be where she committed suicide, so she kills anyone in a relationship, or people who have crushes. Guess what’s the best part? That closet is still in the building!” Jonghyun exclaimed, turning off the flashlight to conclude his story.
“That sounds so cool! Let’s check it out tomorrow!” Kibum shouted, Jinki nodding approvingly.
“Uh, I don’t know…what if it’s real?” Minho asked, trailing off when he thought about what would happen.
“Aw c’mon! Don’t tell me you’re scared.~” Kibum teased, smirking.
“I’m not scared!” Minho protested.
“Then it’s settled, we’re going tomorrow.” Jinki said, following along with two ‘yahoo’s. Minho sighed, and climbed onto Taemin’s bed, to see a large pile of blankets and a frightened magnae under them. He chuckled and glomped the large pile of blankets.
“I can tell you’re scared too…” Minho whispered to where Taemin’s ear would be.
Taemin was in a feeble position under the blankets, heat circulating in the small space. His head jerked when he felt someone on top of him, and that way familiar voice whispering way too close. He blushed and dug his face into his knees.
“Minho…hyung…” Taemin murmured, however it sounded like “Minwo-hwong” from Minho’s side. Taemin nodded, and slowly tensed as Minho continued to whisper through the blankets.
“Well, we’ll go together, okay?” Minho smiled, even though Taemin could not see it, and released the younger male, crawling back to his own bunk. The candle was blown out, and the room swam in darkness. Taemin blushed once more, thinking about what happened minutes ago, and relaxed into his bed. Sleep eventually overcame him, and he wished that he wouldn’t have to face their “adventure” that was to take place soon.
The screaming of the crowd grew quiet as SHINee ran backstage, concluding their concert for the day. Several people quickly walked towards the boys, powder brushes in their hands, and started fixing them. The door to their resting room opened, their manager coming in.
“Great job today! Well that concludes today’s activities, so do you have anything you want to do afterwards? Like, go out and eat?” The manager immediately bursted, plopping himself on a chair. The make-up crew each gave one more finishing touch, and ran out, attending to whatever business they had. Taemin blinked several times, accustoming to the newly applied make-up, and suddenly remembered what was going to happen.
“Actually, can we come with you to the SM building?” Jinki asked, trying to keep in his excitement.
“Hm? Oh sure, but why?”
“Nothing much, just checking things out since we haven’t been there for a while.”
The manager raised an eyebrow, and sighed. He motioned for them to come along, and they all exchanged glances. The boys exited the concert building, and hopped into the manager’s van, speeding off towards SM Entertainment.
The car doors opened, the manager stepped out first.
“Make sure you guys don’t get yourselves in trouble, if something happens, call me.” The boys nodded obediently, and watched the manager walk off to his office.
“Alright Jonghyun, show us the way.” Kibum commanded, patting his shoulder. Jonghyun simply grinned, and entered the building. They all followed, passing offices, turning corners, and climbing up stairs, as though they were in a maze. When they were at the fifth floor, Jonghyun help up his hand, motioning the others to stop. He poked his head around the corner, and smirked.
“This is it.” He muttered. Cautiously, all of them turned the corner, to see a hallway with one door at the end. Taemin froze. This place definitely spelled out: Haunted. The ceiling lights were flickering on and off, the door looked ancient, as thought it was ready to disintegrate, and the wall surrounding the door was oddly covered in what looked like rust. The very image sent shivers down his spine, and he was just ready to make a run for it, when somebody grabbed his wrist.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Minho whispered. The other three: Jinki, Jonghyun, and Kibum were already examining the ancient-looking door.
“I, uh…”
“If I have to suffer, you’re coming down with me.” He grinned evilly, and Taemin heaved a sigh. Damn his good looks… The two of them were about to join the others until they heard someone screaming. It was faint, and it was definitely not one of them.
“D-did you just hear that…?” Taemin stuttered, inching closer to Minho without realizing it. Minho nodded, his muscles tensing.
“Hear what?” Jonghyun looked up from studying the “rust” stains.
“I think it…came from in there…” Minho murmured, pointing at the door. All of the boys gathered around the door, Minho and Taemin pressing their ears against the old-aging wood.
GYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
The door shook violently, scratching noises were heard. Minho and Taemin jumped back, scared to the very core. The knob turned at a rapid pace, and the door was thrown open. Taemin opened his eyes, expecting to see a horrifying creature infront of them. In the doorway was…nothing. Taemin glanced at Minho, and he shrugged.
“Oh my GOD! Minho! Taemi-“ Kibum shouted, and the two boys turned around abruptly. They were both pushed back powerfully, falling back, and landing on their butts. Minho’s eyes widened as they saw a mental-scarring creature: An old Korean grandma, wearing a long white gown. She had the most devious smile on her face, eyes wide with satisfaction, however they were actually popping out. Her face was wrinkled, splattered with blood, which matched the bloodstains on her gown, and a tied rope on her neck. Her figure was transparent, so they could see their other members.
“We’ll call the manager!” Jonghyun shouted, before the door shut, trapping them in the ghost’s lair.
The small, dark room was painfully quiet, only heavy breathing could be heard. Taemin needed something, anything that could ease his nerves, so he carefully approached the door, blind. He felt the cold, ancient surface, and felt around. His hands brushed over something…a switch? He flicked the switch, and lights brightened up the room. Light at last! Taemin grinned in victory, and looked around.
They were definitely in a janitor’s closet, but it didn’t seem suspicious at all. There were boxes neatly stacked in every corner, supplies stored in racks, and a small table in the middle of the room. Underneath the table was…Minho?
“Hyung…everything’s okay, Kibum-umma is going to call the manager…” Taemin whispered, walking towards the crouched male. He was surprised when he heard muffled sobbing. Is he…crying?
“Taemin…you haven’t seen it. How’s everything going to be okay if you haven’t it’s face!” Minho muttered into his knees. Taemin looked at his hyung, wanting to reach out for him.
Minho-hyung…may seem brave on the outside…when he really is scared on the inside…
Hesitantly, Taemin reached his arms out, slowly wrapping his arms around the frightened male, scared that his hyung would deny the comfort. But he didn’t. Infact, Minho buried his face into Taemin’s chest, soaking his shirt. He couldn’t help to grin, thinking to himself that he’s already getting closet to Minho’s heart, but…oh darn it, that secret again. Taemin sighed, suddenly remembering the couch incident that occurred just yesterday.
“Taemin…” Minho murmured into his chest.
“Hm?”
“Now that we’re finally alone…” Taemin flinched. This sentence could either lead to something very good, or something very bad. “Would you mind telling me your secret? I mean…we might die, so…” Damnit, it was bad. His grip on the male loosened as he turned away, trying to figure out a way to respond to Minho. “Why don’t we try leaving off from yesterday?” Minho’s voice was shaking, probably from the fact that death was slowly inching closer to them. Taemin remained silent, not wanting to start off from “what’re you afraid of?”, and as though Minho was reading his mind…”What’re you af-“ He yelped when he felt a draft pass by him, when really, the air conditioning turned on. Minho glomped Taemin out of fear, both of them landing on the ground.
“What’re you afraid of?” Taemin smirked, realizing that…they were in the same position as last time. You’ve got to be kidding me!
“Sh-shut up! I’m surprised we haven’t been killed yet…” Minho whispered, staring into his dongsaeng’s eyes.
“Um, are you going to get off me anytime soon?”
“Mm…nope. Not until you tell me your secret.”
”Oh come on! That’s not fair…”
“I’m just going to make the situation worse.~” Minho leaned in towards Taemin’s neck, breathing into it. The magnae gasped, suddenly realizing just how close Minho was this time. “Are you going to tell me now?~” He said in the most taunting way Taemin could ever imagine. Taemin gulped, probably loud enough for Minho to heard, and he felt the older male smile across his skin. Hook, line, and sinker.
“I, well, i-it’s a bit…” Taemin stuttered, he felt the familiar dizziness overwhelm him again, making him not focused…again. Minho smirked. Only a little closer…
Suddenly the door shook violently, and muffled shouts made its way through the ancient wood.
“Taemin-ah, Minho-ah! Are you guys okay?” Just after that, the door bursted open, and the three ran in, despite the fact the two youngest members were in an awkward position. Minho grimaced, and helped himself up as Kibum cradled Taemin. God damnit, why do they always show up when I’m SO close?
Kibum was soothing the no-so-frightened magnae, but Minho noticed Jinki and Jonghyun whispering to each other. He leaned in, attempting to eavesdrop on their conversation.
“Did you see them when we came in?”
“Yeah, do you think our plan worked?”
“Mm, not sure, I was actually expecting making out…”
What the hell?! Making out…? What are these hyungs up to? Minho thought to himself, and decided to find out more.
“Ah, Jinki-hyung, Jonghyun-hyung, did you happen to see the ghost while you were going to get help?” He noticed them both flinch, and smile nervously towards him.
“Er, nope!” Jonghyun gave a fake smile.
“N-no, didn’t see ‘em. We’re happy that you guys are still alive.” Minho raised an eyebrow at Jinki’s suspicious statement. There was a sharp crack above the doorway, and suddenly something crashed onto the floor. Minho and Taemin ran over to the fallen object, while the other three glanced at each other nervously. Minho crouched down, Taemin behind him, and they both attempted to identify the fallen object. Minho delicately touched the fragments of some sort of machinery, and noticed a lens piece nearby.
“Is this…” He whispered.
“Did you figure out what it is, hyung?” Taemin asked, looking over his shoulders.
“A projector?” The other three cringed as the word was spoken. “What’s this all about?” Minho scowled, glaring at his hyungs with his arms crossed. After receiving 30 seconds of silence, he continued, “Did you set this whole thing up?!” He watched them wince as his voice rose in volume. “Explain yourselves!” Jonghyun opened his mouth, ready to say something.
“Run!” The trio dashed for the door, screaming like frightened girls, and an angry Minho quickly pursuit them. Taemin jogged his way out of the building, too many things running through his mind. I’m so confused…why did they set something like that up? What reason could they have for locking Minho and me up together alone? Could it be that…they know my secret?!
The magnae froze, outside the building, watching Minho running all around the parking lot, screaming “DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW FREAKIN SCARED I WAS?!” He looked up, contemplating on what his hyungs might do if they did know his secret, when he suddenly saw something. On the 5th floor window…was someone looking down at him…it was that ghost! OH MY GOD, IT’S REAL! Taemin dashed towards the manager’s car, very frightened, where the rest were playing a rough game of tag.
*Yesterday, after dinner*
Kibum had secretly gathered his hyungs into their room, while Taemin and Minho were awkwardly watching T.V.
“Why’d you call us?” Jonghyun asked, lying on his own bed.
“It’s about Taemin and Minho…” Kibum muttered.
“What about ‘em?” Jinki said a little loudly.
“Sshhh! Keep your voice down. Haven’t you noticed anything about those two?”
“I think so, I mean, did you see how close Minho was to Taemin-ah?”
”I didn’t see…”
“That’s because you were busy molesting me!”
“SSSHHH! Anyways, I think those two like each other.”
“Maybe, but I haven’t seen anything interesting happening between them.”
“We have to help them!”
“I agree, that’s why I came up with a plan.”
“A plan?”
“What plan?”
“Well, we should lock them up somewhere, where they can be alone.”
“How’re we going to do that?”
”I have an idea.” Kibum and Jonghyun turned towards their leader, who was smiling slyly. “What we should do is that we should tell them a ghost story, and-“
“A ghost story? What’s that gotta do with romance?!”
“I’m not finished. Anyone hear about Lovers’ Closet?” Kibum and Jonghyun shook their heads. “Well, it’s located in the SM building, basically, if anyone’s in a relationship or has a crush, and passes by Lovers’ Closet, they’ll be slaughtered.”
“Hehe, I think scaring our dongsaengs, AND locking them together sound like a good idea.”
“Okay, okay. How’re we going to set this up?”
“Hm, I think tonight, we should tell ghost stories tonight, so they’re not suspicious, then, we’ll got o Lovers’ Closet tomorrow night.”
“Then? How’re we going to put them in the closet? They’re not just going to walk right into a haunted closet.”
“How about we scare them in?”
“How about with the ghost of Lovers’ Closet?!”
“Yeah! And then we’ll project it…from the ceiling?”
“Sure, but projections can’t touch people…”
“Then we’ll get Jinki to push them in.”
“Me?! Why? I’ll feel guilty after I push them in…”
“Just push them in before they can see you.” After an hour of discussing, and calling people to setting up the plan, they’ve finally finished their get-Taemin-and-Minho-together plan.
This was going to be exciting…

Finally, done! I’m sorry if this doesn’t sound like it goes with the plot, but I just HAD to write this, because I was so creeped out the other day. Like, I was checking my comments, and all of a sudden, it got REALLY cold, and the first thing that came to mind was that a ghost was right next to me, and that cold spot would not…leave…me…alone. -cries- I hate ghosts! D: So, I wrote all my paranoia on here, lol! Hope you enjoyed, comments are love! ♥
