hey...ho ho ho
^^^ in reference to christmas, not you guys! muahahahaha. so yah...christmas was fun. everyone came here for christmas eve like usual (we always have my dad's fam) we added a few people this year, like my mom's sister, patty and her two children and then rory's g/f and casey's g/f. it was really nice and funny. my aunty kathy bought a bunch of crazy gifts like light up neon rings, it was like a rave! haha. and then some goofy glasses that had "nose aerobics" on them. haha. the whole night just consisted of my brother casey being intoxicated and entertaining everyone. our grab was kind of funny. we do a "yankee swap" which is like everyone gets a number and the first person unwraps a present and then the second person does and can STEAL that persons and so on. and at the end #1 gets to choose from ALL of the presents. so anyways, we always have an "old maid" present, like one that no one wants and is passed around and every year the person who had it last year has to add to it, so my dad had it this year and he added a "proud to be a democrat kerry/edwards" hat. and, if you know my family, this makes sense. and he also added a cake topper (like for weddings) of "adam and steve" haha. twas funny. my brother rory got it and was pissed.
so that was fun. christmas day we didn't open presents til like 2 in the afternoon. oh well. it was fun. i got some clothes, some gift cards and speakers (whoo) for my computer.
the 26th we went to my grandfather's and saw the same people we saw a couple of days ago! lol. so it was fun, we only stayed there for a little bit, cuz it was snowing really bad. so we drove all the way from central mass to my house (usually an hour drive) and took us like 2 hours. not fun. it was friggin scary. i couldn't even see out the window at some points. wicked scary!
so then last night was our secret santa exchange. it was fun. i got mike and mike got me. how weird is that? i have the weirdest luck with secret santas. it was fun until they all started talking about cananda. like...it just sucks that i can't go. so i guess i'm like jealous and i was being selfish, but whatever. i hope you guys have fun!
i feel like i've missed out on so many things with them, ya know? due to not knowing some of them too well (like jess and mere) i didn't really get to know them til like this past year and stuff, ya know? so i can see where i wouldn't be at certain parties or whatever and due to my MOM! but i just feel like i haven't spent as many good memories with them as they all have, ya know?
oh well. here's my self loathing entry! lol. i dunno, i think i just miss school. i know that sounds really mean cuz i DO have fun with my home friends, but i just miss school. plain and simple. (please, pat, bob, joe and mike an whoever else reads this from home, don't get offended by that, this isn't a school vs. home thing. i still love you guys. there's just something about school that is different). there's a select few here in mass that i love and i hope you know who you are.
but yah, not much has happened this vaca...yet. i'm working a lot, but i do want to spend a lot of time with mike cuz he's here almost as long as i am. and BILL'S coming up for new year's! yay! it's lame, i know, but i miss him. a lot. (thank you for listening to me last night). so yah...i guess that's it.
...if you could go anywhere right now, where would you go? and would you miss me when you get there...if only you could be right here by my side, home wouldn't seem so far from here...
