greetings from chicago!
so i havent really blogged about it but i recent got a job as a passenger service agent(gate agent) from Air Wisconsin Airlines Corp. doing business as United airlines, who is coming to Daytona in February. I was psyched that i was hired among all the competition, but nonetheless I was able to snag a job after finding about the interview session the day before. and since were all college students, they made arrangements so we didnt have to do the eight week training session in orlando. so to accomodate the 9 they hired, 6 of whom are Riddle students, they flew us to Chicago for a few days to do basic training. they flew us up here and put us in a hotel and the suite that i get all to myself is pimp. it has a living room with two TVs in it and for me, that is more than i need so its definitely great that they went out of their way to make us happy. its very cold, the daily high at 24 degrees FARENHEIT. so for all the kids who go to school here, i have no clue how you manage. its a tradeoff really because we have 10 hour days which starts promptly at 8. but its paid training. then next week, we're flown back to orlando for more training. and put up in another pimp hotel. its great because im an airline employee now and i get flight benefits. i just want my uniform and badge. soon enough.
