Paragon's Para-Blog 4-15-2007
I woke up not too long ago and I just read the IMs I got overnight from a few drunken friends. It sounded like everyone had a good time last night, as well as I did too. I ended up going to Alternative Brews last night and met up with Big Mike while I was out there. Work was ridiculous as usual, lots of cooking and cleaning, as per usual on a Saturday. For some reason, I was more tired last night from work than usual. Then once I came back home, I talked to Danni for a little bit. She planned on going out with her friends since her birthday is Monday, so they wanted to take her out for her bday. She invited me to go along but I'm not a downtown person and probably never will be. But she said that if she wanted to leave that she would call me and for me to come pick her up, which I would've gladly done. Any chance that i'd get to see her or hang out with her, I would do so in a heart beat. But she never called and I ended up going to Alternative Brews. I hope she had a good time though.
So I ended up going to Alternative Brews last night and met up with Big Mike while I was out there. We talked about the disappointing Sabres game loss and how they weren't at their best. Then Mike was tellin me about how he's got Game 3 tickets in Long Island. It's gonna be one hell of a day trip for him to catch a Sabres game outta town. Should be a good time. I went to the Sabres game back on Thursday night, it was Game 1 of the playoffs. That was a crazy day in itself. I was sitting at work and was talking to people. I talked to Melissa and she told me how she and Johnny had gotten tickets for the game and they'd be going that night. My friend Steve had bought tickets off of his friend earlier in the week and would be going with his cousin Ryan for it. I planned on going over to the Hudsons to watch the game at their house but on my way home from work, Holly calls me and says she scored some tickets on ebay and she and Jeremy would be going to the game. So now with most of people I know going to the game, I couldn't be left out.
As soon as I got home, I hit up ebay and scored me some tickets too. Next step was finding someone to go with. My nephew, Richard, refused to drive up from Rochester for Playoffs! Whiny little baby. So I also promised Nancy that i'd take her to a game so I called her. She had a lot of work and studying to do so she was scratched off of the list. I called Danni next coz she had such a good time last game, she might enjoy another one. She had prior family engagements to attend to so I let her slide on that one haha. Once my top three choices were out, I knew someone who would go for sure... so I called Dave. And of course, Dave took the 2nd ticket and it was game-on!
Me and Dave went to Pearl St Brewery for a couple of beers before the game and my bartender, Connor, took care of us. After we left there and went to the arena for Party at the Plaza, where the Strickly Hip were playing outside. While we were there, we ended up meeting up with the Hudsons as they waited for their ticket carrier to show up. I got my tickets at will call. We went back outside to check out the band and party. Out there, we ran into the Crangles outside who grabbed Kraemer from afar and he bought a ticket to the game too. I turn around and there are Steve Lapsley and his girl Christina and next to them were the Cosentino brothers. It was definately a good time. A win for the Sabres completed the night.
Not much else has been going on with me. I've cut down on working lately. Three days each job and I'll be only working one day at the bar. Things w/ Danni are alright... everything is just swanky. So I guess i'll leave it at here. Until next time...
