Playboy is looking for a superstar
Marketing Director for a completely new online
social networkingproperty. This is a high-level position, but also a very hands-on one -you will be the go-to person for anything related to marketing for thisproduct line, so you must be comfortable as both a leader and afollower. Key concepts to know: buzz/viral marketing, SEO, marketing to a college demographic, and social
networking.You must get social networking: you don’t have to have been at SXSW,but you’d better know what it is. Include links to extensions of youronline social networking persona (
blogs,del.icio.us/flickr ids, digg profile, MySpace/Facebook accounts, etc).Previous startup experience would be a huge plus as this position willbe extremely challenging (expect to be asked to turn straw into gold ona daily basis) but this is an exceptional opportunity for the rightcandidate to have a huge and lasting impact on one of the mostwell-recognized and respected brands in the world.
Althoughthis position is based in Glendale, CA, you will have stronginteraction with colleagues and partners around the country so youshould be comfortable with travel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelorsdegree in Marketing, Communications or Film and at least 4 yearsexperience in an entertainment marketing capacity including onlinepublicity/promotion and creative asset production.
Essential Job Functions:
Own the marketing strategy for this product from end to end: work with the
businessowners and the divisional SVP of Marketing to develop and implement acomprehensive strategy for marketing and promotions; oversee creativeproduction.
