Is it really July already? When I look at my calender I really am I amazed to see the date. Half of the year is already over. It is no longer a new year. It is now time to finish up and look forward to 2010. My last post, which is dated mid-june, feels as if I had written it only moments ago. So many things have happened since then, I cannot believe I never took the time to blog about them.
First, I had just recently come off a family vacation. It was a week-long cruise to Alaska. A fantastic experience. I know I will cherish those memories for many years. Most people believe cruises to be romantic vacation, but Alaska was so scenic and beautiful. It really is a family cruise, though there were newlyweds on board. I hope to be fortunate enough to one day be able to afford to take vacations like this with my future wife and family. I am truly envious of what my parents have achieved and hope to be as success as they are.
Afterwards, I discovered the beauty that is Vancouver, Canada. I would never want to leave the US, but I had to leave I would definitely go to Vancouver. It's modern and looks very much like the US, but it just feels so different. We were able to stay in the city for two days and driving around you could really feel as if the city was built for the citizens. Driving around we didn't see business areas and people in suits going to work. It felt like a city of people's homes. It felt like a great place to raise a family and that something I can appreciate.
Sometimes you just have to loose your calender. Then when you happen to stumble upon it, you'll be surprised how many days have passed without notice. .
