I went to my first Interact event, which happened to start at 6AM at Great America. I can't believe I woke up at 4:45, I was quite surprised.
Tiring as hell. It was really fun working with the seniors as we set up the marathon track. David Chiang drove the Uhaul truck the whole time, and the other seniors helped to set up the cones. It was pretty straightforward work, but it got very tiring.
After all that work, we went to the cafeteria place to get the free lunch promised to all Interact volunteers. Instead, there was no food left. Wtf? That was retarded, but I heard they didn't prepare much food to start with. Anyways, that kinda pissed me off.
After the race ended, most of the underclassmen went inside the park, since they had nothing to do. The seniors, including myself, helped to put everything away. Like the tents and stuff like that. It was pretty tiring, but I felt good. The guy, Dave, who supposedly owns Bubba Gump (the seafood restaurant) was really grateful. We got free boxes of chocolate, lol.
Then PGA!!! After like three hours, I was dead. Went on Demon, Grizzly, Centrifuge(hella retarded ride), Logger's Run, Whitewater Rapids, Top Gun, and Vortex. We got Tushar addicted to rollercoasters =D
Big thanks to David Chiang for driving me there at 5AM =D And to Nikita, Jessica, Tushar, Joseph, and other seniors who worked with the Uhaul truck. Yea, fulfilling but tiring day =P
