so, one more test, and i will be out of UIC for awhile.
So officially, i will be out of school for an entire year. Turns out there are too many requirements that I still need to fulfill before applying to the associate degree program at oakton. I dunno what to do. I guess I'll just use the year to gather up information about other bachlor degree programs around here. RUSH, LOYOLA, NORTHWESTERN, etc. Even if they are too expensive, I'll have to manage with loans. Damn Bush, pushing student loan interest up from 4.7 to 5. something.
anyway back to planning. I'm also going to apply to various associate degree programs. I'll do my CNA, and take math 102, take all those enterance exams for oakton's associate program.... All these hurdles to jump. I really hate it.
I mean I've always breezed through school. Anything I wanted, no doubt that I would get it. i thought it would be the same with nursing college. Damn, being consistently above average.... it gives you the disadvantage that whatever you want to pursue you'd automatically get it. So high school and freshmen to think that. Sure, I'd encounter a lot of C and D students in the 100 level courses. But once you start hitting 200-400 level courses, well, all of the "weaker" students have been eliminated and you're competing with other "above average" students. Survival of the fittest.
Brendan's vehicle is at the mechanics. he destroyed his brakes down to the rotors? and calibers. And brake pads? those were gone a week ago. I told him... get your vehicle checked out... don't drive it anymore.... You're screwing yourself over and keep driving and you'll need to pay more to fix whatever. So now, he not only needs new brake pads, he also needs new rotors, and calipers. whatever those things are. 450 bucks. damn idiot.
I need a job. But i have no car. I don't want to pay for car... Because brendan eats through money so quickly. ok. i play a part, i eat. but I least I don't buy used scuba diving equipment because the deal is just too good to pass up. so job hunting... yeah... better get started.
