This is the score:
I decided I wanted to watch a movie. I took the movie out of its case, and noticed that the DVD player was unplugged. I turned on the TV, in general puttered around getting the DVD player set up, looked down at the movie I was holding in my hand and realized I was holding a VHS tape.

My brother's birthday was yesterday. His friends at school got him a microphone and a microphone stand. MICROPHONE STAND. He came home lugging behind him a 10 pound microphone stand while clutching a box containing the microphone. This is so he can practice his stand-up routines. That's one hell of a bitchin' birthday present.
My family went to Swiss Chalet. The waitress, a nice middle-aged lady, kept telling us that she loved our family. I don't know how sincere she was; we don't tip more than anyone else there. She rambled about how my parents had nice children because we always seem to get along. (I guess so. I don't know. We haven't killed or seriously maimed each other yet, but then maybe that's just a matter of time.)
I really think she liked us though. She gave us two slices of pie to go
instead of one.
My public library has more comic books! Or graphic novels, depending on
which way you'd rather look at it. They have volumes of
MegaTokyo and
Kissing Chaos and other neat stuff I can't remember right now.
Bone is one of the cutest things I've ever read. I'm going to have to pace myself. Really.
I missed the
Toronto Comics Art Festival last week. That's because I'm stupid and forgot it was the last week of May. Doh. That's ok, though, because that just means there was one less idiot who knows nothing about comic books wandering around the TCAF ticking off all the people who actually know things.
This is pretty old, and very wrong in that top hats can't sit on a person's head that way. Also, the arms are messed up and so are the hands. This was more of a doodle that I felt like colouring, and because I haven't scanned anything in, and this was a Work In Progress already sitting on my computer, I've thrown it out here to be torn apart by wolves and other things with teeth and claws.
I'm slightly comforted that the hands remind me of
Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things. Except that, y'know, Courtney Crumrin is a lot better.
