Some countries in Africa are much poorer than others.
In Zambia, for example, eight out of 10 people are living below the poverty line.
Another big problem for these poor countries is that they owe massive debts to other countries which have lent them money in the past.
There's loads of campaigns for the richer countries to forget about the money they're owed, to help Africa go forward.
One out of every two people in southern Africa is ill because of a poor diet Seven out of every 10 people in Malawi live in poverty More than three million kids in Malawi have too little to eat

To fit in and stay out of trouble: Get a lot of sleep before school so tyou are awake!!! Get your homework done on time Know your way around the building Get to classes on time! Encourage yourslef Ask for help when you need it Brush your hair Where tops that cover from your waist to the base of your neck Where pants that are from your waist to below your ankles Where long, warm clothes in the fall and winter and cooler clothes in the spring and summer Bring $$ for lunch Know your locker and combination Don't let other people know your locker combination Go to an afterschool program ( HOMEWORK CLUB if you're having trouble on your homework Bring clothes for gym Bring extra clothes to school in case you accidently break the dress code or you want to change Be independent when you need to Learn how to make and and keep the old Being smart doesn't mean being a nerd, so don't dumb yourself down to be cool Only go out with somebody if you like them Email is better than mail if you have a computer (free) Play sports Get AIM/ e-mail
Things that will get you into trouble: Pick a fight or start one (blueslip) Swear or threaten others (warning or blueslip) Being two-faced (you won't have friends) Flirting with all of the other boys/ girls (makes other boys/ girls mad) Cheating (get you dumped and a bad reputation) Being serious all of the time (people wouldn't like to hang out with you) Going out with somebody just for the fun of it(bad reputation) Running in the halls or class (warning or blueslip is distrupting the class) Yelling in class or in the halls (distrupting your class or other classes) Where clothes that doesn't cover certain parts of your body (told to change)
