That's really all one needs to say. They suck and I hate them. I really do. I just got back from writing the infernal test and I'm sitting in Gerstein typing away at this stupid computer with sticky keys. *pounds at keys to make them go* I'm also avoiding the hoard of people that just got out of the test that will be talking about it ALL the way home. I learnt from last time (when I wrote the Chem test) Not to rush home, it's just a way to make you feel even more stupid then you know you already are.
To be completely honest, I don't think I did all that bad. I mean the test itself wasn't that hard, it's just the way the questions were worded and the amount of thinking involved with the answers. I was quite happy to read a few of them (there weren't many) and go "I know that one!" and look for the answer without the thinking. The ones that I wasn't too sure about, I just eliminated the ones I knew were wrong and went from there. It really wasn't that bad and I feel a bit better about this one then that Chem test I wrote. *hopes for a good mark* The test supervisor said the answer key would probably be posted tomorrow but I don't think I'll check for awhile since I don't want to be depressed in case I really do bad on the test.
I have a Physics midterm coming up and I haven't studied for it yet, thank goodness for the weekend. Needless to say, me and Physics (6th edition) will be having a very long weekend date. I still haven't answered my quiz question for my tutorial tomorrow, so I'll have to do that when I get home. I read the question earlier and I have a feeling I don't know how to do it. So, it'll probably take awhile before I can answer it. Maybe I can get someone to "help" me.
On a side note, I really hate my Physics TA. Other than the fact that he thinks he practically invented Physics and that he thinks he's god. He's so, "you have to learn it this way and don't listen to your textbook." I personally, rely on my textbook since it's taught me all I know about Physics. He's all pro deriving equations and other random shiet like that which is a complete pain in the arse because neither him nor the Professor make any sense to me. The both of them live off deriving shiet. I'm sorry, but the textbook has taught me more than the both of you combined. Plus, this isn't a Calculus-based course, so I hardly see the point. I personally think that the point to Basic Physics is that you understand enough of it to take the equation and plug random shiet into it to get the answer. That's how I know and have understood everything so far. But apparently, that's not good enough for Mr. I-get-off-on-teaching-Physics (aka my TA) He's taken off marks my quizzes cuz apparently the equation that I learnt and got from the textbook was wrong. Umm... wrong? How? It's the right equation, I wasn't aware there was another one. Sorry I don't know Physics like the back of my hand and can use another equation. Hell, if I knew what it was maybe I'd use it. Plus, I asked Matt (2nd year Engineering student) if I did the question right and he said yes. How can you argue with that? *argh* Stupid TA, he frustrates me.
*sighs* I'm okay now, I'm glad I vented.
I broke some lab equipment yesterday. Completely unintentional but I accidentally broke an Erlynmeyer (sp?) flask and a 250 mL beaker (I think) The flask was pretty funny though. I was shaking out the water from the flask and going to get paper towels at the same time. I past by this sink and shook it out one last time and continued walking. But stupid me forgot to lift my hand and I whacked the flask against the side of the sink and it was crack and the top came off. I heard the crak and looked at the flask in my hand then into the sink then at my flask again. This other student looked at me then at the flask in the sink and at me again and said "that's not good" So I quickly took the pieces and put them in the glass waste bucket. Then I had to find my Lab Demonstrator to ask for another one. Thankfully, he wasn't mad. Then, when I was cleaning the oodles of glassware we used I was stacking them all up to carry to my bench to dry. One of them didn't fit so I just plopped it back into the sink and I heard a crack. I'm like "oh shit" and low and behold I had cracked another one. Seriously, that was not my day. Plus, we did our lab wrong so we fudged our results *looks sheepish* Thankfully our next lab is Titrations and that's all I did in High School. I'mma kickass at that one. ^_^
Anyways, I think the crowd has dwindled and I'm hungry, so I'mma go now. I promise more ranting later.
