Past Few Days

I don't think it's all that justified to say that the last few days have been a bit up and down, but it might be. Since, this has all happened to me, I may be biased.

Last Saturday, I was rudely awakened at 7 am to head to Brampton for a dentist appointment. Of all things to have on a Saturday morning, but at least it's out of the way. When I got home, I started to work on my HMB assignment which was due on Wednesday. I realized quickly that I needed to actually read over the lectures and the textbook first before I attempted the questions. So I had to redo my game plan. This was discouraging and thus, I sort of stopped at one point. I watched loads of TV.

Sunday evening, I finally officially started getting those questions done for HMB, I finished them all except for the "draw the chromosomes" one since I was too tired and it was already 3 in the morning.

Monday, I woke up early to head over to East York for my interview with Janelle and Andrew. This proved interesting within itself since we had no idea where we were going. And I mean NO idea. All we knew was how to get there in theory on the TTC. But we finally made it there, at our intended time of arrival time as well. At the office (this is for a day camp) we filled out applications together and, Adam came out and goes "Hey, I remember you three, you were at the Job Fair. You guys left quite an impression on us." We took this as a good sign and they interviewed the three of us together and after the inverview (which felt more like a casual get together than anything else) he told us that we were all hired pending our references. (!!!!!)

I was told this morning that I had some messages on the machine and that Camy had called looking for me the night before. It was a message from my neighbour (one of my references) and Adam from the camp. My neighbour was just telling me that they had given my reference and that owed them for such a great reference. (haha) Adam wanted me to call him back. I called him when I arrived at school before my tutorial. He told me that I had the job if I still wanted it. (well, no shit) and he said he'd mail me the contract to sign and mail back. *grin*

I'm really excited about this job since I've never been a camp counsellor before, but I've babysat so it's a little different. I'm just excited to be able to be part of the whole camp thing. I loved going to camp when I was younger. So, we'll see how this goes. Hopefully, Janelle and Andrew get their callbacks so I have someone to go with in the morning.

Tuesday was my midterm for Anthro 203 and it was a micture of "what the hell" and "oh i know that" so we'll see how that goes when I get it back in two weeks or so. I was studying in Gerstein when I remembered to ask Janelle for my assignment, who told me Andrew had it. So I hunted him down and he said "Alicja has it. She wanted it so I gave it her." This was not something I wanted to hear. I lent Janelle my assignment because she helped me and I was returning the favour. I was not expected Alicja to have it and then have her say she'll try to get it back to me before 6 o'clock. well how about you move your ass up and give it to me now. I have the biggest feeling she didn't even do it and just copied mine. Stupid girl not doing her own work.

I handed in said assignment this morning and left tutorial before it started. I just couldn't bear to sit there. Especially since I had no idea what was going on. I'll just bum notes off someone or something. (I'm sure this makes me hypocritical to what I was just complaining about, but I don't care) I highly doubt we did anything significant. And my TA is crap. She asks us a question, stares at us for 5 minutes, then goes to explain herself.

Oh, the other day, I was taking random pictures around the house. Kirsty gave me the idea to take a picture of running water. So, here it is:

It doesn't look so bad, if I do say so myself. I noticed afterwards that I had to clean my sink. (which I did) Silly chrome. I want to take more. So, if you have any ideas or requests, let me know. I started a "Get Carla to Take Pictures" post on the weekend. I highly recommend you comment. It'll give me something to do and something for you to look forward to.

And on that note. I'm done for now.

P.S - Santana's album "All that I am" = love.
