I am finally employed. *dances* I sent in a whole bunch of applications for the 'Summer Experience Program' run by the Government in about late April and a few days ago (Thursday) I received a phone call from this lady saying she would like me to start on Monday (tomorrow) but wished to see beforehand for a quick interview. So I went in on Friday, had my interview, beat out a Business Commerce student for the position as a Business Office Assistant and was officially hired by 10 am. I still a little sketchy about what I have to do for them, but it sounds really starightforward, so that means even I can do it. I do know that I'm only employed for 35 days though. I'm perfectly okay with that, I'm sure I can find something else to do after that, if not then I can just bum around like I always do. I'm really excited since this is my first official job, not including babysitting. I can't believe I've found this job all by myself and I got it so quickly.
I start one of my summer classes on Tuesday after work so we'll see how that goes. I have to check where that class is located, as I know it will be in UC but the room location is something that I don't know and I'd rather not be lost. I'm taking
this for my Sexual Diversity minor. It'll prove to be interesting, I can tell you that much. Still debating of keeping that as my minor, but even if I decide against it, this will count as part of my distribution credit.
Birthday is coming up, still not as excited as I figured I'd be considering it's almost here. Soon, I guess, not sure when, but it'll happen. Not sure what I want for my birthday either. I'm too indecisive for my own good. Maybe I'll go some online window shopping (so to speak) and pick out some things. Surprises are the best though, cuz you can never really know what you might get. Surprises are good.
