Went to the store yesterday and splurged on some hot house South African avocadoes, 2 fucking 29 for the pair. That's like three fiddy canadian. But man they were good. I put them in a simple salad with some diced tomatoes and a bit of red onion. My favorite dressing is to mix a dash of vinegar, preferably japanese rice vinegar, with a little soya oil, some sesame oil and most importantly some fish sauce. It's that smelly stuff that they have at all the Asian shops.
I also made Chicken Quorma. I didn't have enough yogurt though so it turned out really hot. I'm still sweating. I ate the leftovers for breakfast, lunch and dinner today.
Oh yah, did I mention to anyone besides Marco that I saw Broken Social Scene in Amsterdam a few days ago. They had an almost full roster too, with Metric on stage and most of Stars. It was really good to see. Oh yeah, Billy Idol was playing the early show in the club's other room. I managed to catch the encore. Fucking Amazing. Imagine peroxide blond forty something Idol with a naked torso, sweaty as fuck. writhing around singing white wedding. He's got the stage presence of someone half his age.
I lied, he didn't play white wedding during the encore but that's the only song I know.
