Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Roundtable Discussion. Please refer here for the Roundtable Discussion guidelines.

Topic: Sorting: Helpful or Divisive? - proposed by cassie_black12

Discussion may include, but is not limited to:

• Is sorting a good way of creating a sense of belonging, or does it just create unnecessary rifts and divides within the school?
• To what extent does their house influence the person students become? For example, had Draco Malfoy been sorted into another house, and been exposed to different ideals, would he have still followed the same path?
• “I wonder whether sorting may not bring the end I fear.” Was the Hat right? Do you think that the sorting process has wider implications for the Wizarding world? Did it play its own part in creating Voldemort?

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to email the mods at azkatrazathome@gmail.com or cassie_black12 at cassie_black@hotmail.co.uk
