Hurt
This is probably going to be long so just try to keep up!!
A few weeks ago, somethings happened to me at work. My managers said some things that they shouldn't have and it personally hurt me. I decided I was sick and tired of being treated like I was too stupid to work in a restaurant and that I wanted to do something about it. So I decided I would write a letter. When I mentioned my ideas to a few people, they were like "Wow, I would sign your letter in a heartbeat" so I thought well it would be a good idea afterall. Because our management isn't very professional and all I wanted was to stop being treated so poorly and to have the managers act more professional.
I get a call on Wednesday night from my roomates teling me the managers have heard about this letter and the managers managers know and that all these people at work are all upset. Well this one girl named Bobbi told her best friend who is our general managers daughter, about the letter, then in turn telling the manager. The stupid part is, THERE IS NO LETTER!!! Last night at work she was telling people there is a letter, she saw it, and it had everyone's names on it and if her name was on it, she was going to be super pissed off. Well thats so funny that she thinks she knows everything.
Now at work, almost everyone who works there is mad at me and one of our cool managers is being transferred as a result of all these rumors. But they are just rumors!!! Not one single person has come to me to ask me whats going on. I called the gm yesterday and told him the truth, but either he didn't share it with the staff or what because last night, the manager who is being transferred, was leading everyone to believe it was me and I was the reason for it.
I am so fucking pissed its not even funny. I did nothing wrong. If something happens to me personally, I have a right to complain. Just because it doesn't happen to someone else doesn't mean I still don't have a right to say something. We are having a meeting on Saturday I guess with the GM about this entire situation and this Bobbi girl is making it so hard. All I wanted was for people to go to work and enjoy working there and get along and have the managers get along and not be soo much drama. Obviously we need to cut the cord on one employee because she seriously needs to take a look in the mirror and see that its HER fault one of the managers is leaving and its her fault everyone at work is pissed.
It just hurts my feelings that these people I called friends don't even give you the chance to explain the truth. Instead, my friend Melissa explained it to them and no one believed her. They told her it was bullshit. So not only am I looking for a new job, but now this has turned into harassment and a lot of people could get into trouble for this. I'm so fucking mad and when I'm mad, you don't want to mess with me.
