windows screenshot This is NOT a review. I can't write a review. Not when my thoughts are all over the place.
So I went to watch the 3D HFR version. And the CGI made it look like a video game sometimes and it somewhat disturbed me.
Btw was it Peter Jackson cameo right in the beginning? He exiting a house and eating a carrot or something? (?!)
What I liked:
- The scenery. Whole Middle-earth is just so beautiful.
- LEGOLAS. (Orlando Bloom) Which totally surprised me because he's not my fave in LotR.
- Also Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) was nice. Beautiful. (I actually don't hate my long hair as much now because of the elves and their beautiful hair. xD)
- Smaug aka BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH'S VOICE.
What I wasn't a huge fan of:
- LotR similarities. Yes, I liked references to LotR (like Gimli, the Nine etc.) but similarities in the plot were irritating sometimes. But understandable.
I was so tired after work when I went to see this that I'm thinking that I might like it better the second time around. (When I'm not either yawning or giggling to Sherlock and Watson.)
Finally: Ed Sheeran - I See Fire. First time hearing this when seeing end credits and walking out of the cinema. Fell in love.
