That I too young, as yet unfixed
do cherish frightful constancy
to hold fast in a changing world
a truth that never yet survived
but once, in which you don't believe.
--
I miss you in seconds and minutes.
--
corrupted by the media, you never took the time
to really see a cloudless sky at night.
embittered by modernity, you sagely turn away
and so, give wisdom's name to tragedy.
with all the music, all the dreams, and all the poet's pleas
you can't believe in love you cannot feel.
There's more to man than mixed up chemistry.
A sense of wonder can't be bought or made-
it means you have a soul.
let go, let go, let go
and simply be.
For just one night
stare at the sky and be.

Let cynicism rest a while, reclaim the ancient song and let your body fill with wonder's glory. I dance in celebration of the myst'ry of the night, sweetly aching music is the air. I give myself completely to a place you cannot know; you won't let go. So now you choose-to stand in awe or mockery. To come away or with the dawning stand alone. For I have gone to seek eternity.
