DUTIES: Instruct students and faculty on safe operation of shop machines and equipment: maintain and repair machinery, tools and equipment; fabricate and build shop apparatus to meet curricular needs; consult with students, faculty, and staff on materials and processes, feasibility of projects; engineer and improvise processes to meet special needs; maintain a neat and orderly work environment. Saturdays and occasional Sundays only.
DEPARTMENT QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school, supplemented by technical training in machine operation and the shaping and finishing of wood, metal and plastics. Considerable recent experience and knowledge in model/prototype building, pattern making, etc. in both traditional and CNC environments. CAD skills a plus.
