Dear students,
Please use the course email. It's there for a reason. The reason is so everyone's questions are in a central location and can be forwarded to those who are best equipped to deal with them. Example: I suck at popluation genetics, but another TA is awesome at it. Ergo, if you have a pop gen question and email me directly, I will say "Durrrr... no idea." But if you email the course email, it will get to the other TA who can help you.
I understand that there are those who have my personal email. It's not hard to get. My name is on the course webpage, and you all know I'm a Genetics grad student. It takes no stretch of the braincells to go "Hmm... Let's go to the Genetics homepage and see what they have posted. Hey! Look! Her email!" I also understand that some of you are just more comfortable talking to me, as I've led some review sessions and generally try to be easy to talk to. I am ok with this.
However.
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY IT IS TOTALLY NOT OK FOR YOU TO SOMEHOW GET MY FREAKING PHONE NUMBER AND CALL AND TEXT ME! AND IT IS ALSO TOTALLY NOT OK FOR YOU TO START MESSAGING ME ON MY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT.
Love and kisses,
Your TA.
