Ah, someone else who would be willing to discuss religion with me and not be offended by what I have to say... if that is anything to celebrate about at all.
I'm going to be quite stalkerish here and tell you that I've read your lj before it was "friends only" and devoured your FFN page. I'd totally be interested in reading and commenting on this (part of the reason I got an lj, actually).
At risk of sounding pleading-- wanna be friends? :D
Aww, hi! I stalked people in the past and was too afraid to say hi, and I'm really glad you did. Of course we can be friends. =) I'm honored that you like my FFN stuff, although I currently hate most of it except for Flip Turn.
And I don't promise not to be offended, but if you don't have a wish to argue with what I said in this post, you shouldn't have to worry about that.
Yay, stalking love! And I don't know how you could possibly hate Bright Line or Cognitive Dissonance, since I'm completely in love with them. They're extremely popular too. I was all excited when I read them to find out what happened next, until I realized that they hadn't been updated in about two years, and it wasn't likely that they were going to be very soon.
That made me slightly depressed. xD I mean, they're creative, extremely well written and I'm addicted to them. D: Oh no, dilemmas!
Oh lord, those stories. I have a love/hate relationship with them. On the one hand, they got me into writing seriously and made me a ton of great friends, but on the other... man, I had so much to learn. I'm very sorry that you had to get introduced to my writing through those particular stories, but I'm happy that you liked them regardless of my newbie-ness. I have much better writing now. Promise. XD
One day I would like to finish them (I was pretty close), but my writing has improved so much that I don't know if I'd be able to fight the urge to just rewrite the whole thing. It'd be so incongruous with my writing today, so I'm afraid it'd look weird to just pick it up again. But I might consider it if enough people really, really want it.
You're joking, right? Do you still read the reviews and stuff that you get from FFN? There would be so many people who would be ecstatic if you finished those (including me)! And if you're writing it better now than it was then, it would completely blow my mind. :D
I hope you do finish them eventually though. You left us at the worst cliffhanger. Terra's location device is going off and Robin has to follow her? And then there's nothing else? D: Do you want me to suffer?!
No, but seriously. xD Besides those, Flip Turn is fantastic. I love that you managed to capture the essence of little kids in it. But now this sounds like a review. xD Hm. Well. I'll be sure to check out some of your more recent writing, and compare it to those wonderful love/hate stories of yours.
Aww, you're sweet! Thank you, although I really do think that there was a ton of room for improvement. There are things I like about those stories, but like I said, I was just starting out, and I had a lot to learn. I have to give a lot of credit to my beta, who can turn a quacking duck into a theatrical production.
I am sorry about leaving you guys hanging, though. I do read each and every review, and I try to respond to them all, too. As for why I haven't finished them, I'd love to go into it in more detail, but it's a little personal for this public entry. You can either hit me up on AIM (will provide sn if you wish; it's not the one in the profile) or reply to a locked post, either one is fine. =) Of course, if you don't care one way or another, disregard this!
The more recent writing really is better, I swear. There's not enough of it, but it's much better; my beta can vouch for that.
Sure, I'd like to hear about it. Only if you want to tell me though; I don't want to invade on anything that you feel is really personal. If it was anyone bashing your writing, though, I'll kill them.
Can AIM talk to yahoo messanger? Because that's what I use the most... if so, sweet! I'll add you and check frequently to make sure I catch you when you're on! ^_^
